Chapter 26: To the edge
In another hospital somewhere in a small town in Seattle, Kelly sat down, staring into space, totally unaware of her surrounding. She kept repeating the moment she forcefully freed herself from her father and he rolled down the stairs, breaking his head. When Sharon had come in, blood had already been flowing out of his head. She stood to the side, unable to help as Sharon quickly unbuttoned her thick shirt and placed it over the wound. The blood just kept flowing till the paramedics arrived. Sharon didn't want to allow her into the ambulance, pushing her out and calling her a killer.
The neighbors that had come out to watch the whole thing began to look at her, judging her for whatever had happened in the house. Even Arnie, the old man living beside them, yelled at her.
"You killed your ma, now you want to kill your pa too? Have you no conscience?" He had yelled with his old, croaky voice.
