Chapter 4: Adrian’s wrath

On the other side of the De Luca company, things were far from peaceful, and it seemed that things were only going to get worse before they got better.

Adrian paced back and forth in his office, muttering to himself about the cancellation of the Facci company. His secretary, Joe, knew better than to interrupt him during one of his fits of rage. Adrian was known for his temper, and Joe had learned to stay out of his way when he was in a bad mood.

As Adrian continued to fume, Joe tried to focus on his work, but it was difficult with the sound of his boss's angry footsteps echoing through the office. The other employees were also on edge, trying to avoid drawing Adrian's attention, as three managers were already fired that morning.

Mark remembered how it started when he broke the news to his boss.

"What? They canceled on us?" he asked, his voice laced with anger.

Mark nodded. "Yes, sir. And the reason they gave was that their boss was going on a date for the next two days."

Adrian's fists clenched and his teeth ground together. "How dare she!" he shouted. ".

Joe and the other employees exchanged nervous glances, knowing that Mr. Adrian's anger was not a good sign. They all knew that Adrian would be taking out his fury on them, and they braced themselves for the worst.

Adrian turned to Joe with a menacing glare. "Get me a list of her schedules," he growled. "I want to make sure they know what happens when they cross me."

Joe nodded, knowing that there was no arguing with Adrian when he was in this kind of mood. He quickly got to work on pulling together the list, hoping that he could diffuse the situation before it got any worse.

But deep down, he knew that there was no stopping Adrian's rage once it had been unleashed.

“Here it is boss” Joe hurriedly gave the list of Lillian’s schedule to Adrian.

“The Lawson family huh, Joe I want you to keep the Lawsons busy, so that they don’t leave the office especially Alexander Lawson keeps him occupied for the next few days.

Although Adrian, could single-handedly bankrupt the Lawson Corporation, he wanted this to serve as a warning to them.

“Where’s the venue of the supposed dinner date with, Alexander Lawson,” Adrian asked his voice laced with anger.

“ Boss the dinner date is to be held in Circa Nonparril”

“Get my suit ready Joe, I have a date to crash today.” Adrian said with a smug smile on his face.

“I’ll get it done immediately boss” Joe immediately left the office to make arrangements for his boss’s gate crashing date.
