It was the morning of Thanksgiving. I had invited Ellie over for dinner. Vito also invited Damon but he declined and said he already had plans for Thanksgiving.

Vito had spent the previous night in my room after a long day of not seeing him. He went out with his sisters to explore New York, while I was at home with his mother.

We didn’t really have many conversations because I spent most of the time inside my room. She just sat in the living room binge-watching shows. I only saw her when I went to remind her of her medications. Vito had given me instructions to remind her every four hours.

I had no plan for the day apart from the Thanksgiving dinner. Vito had gone to his hotel early in the morning, claiming he had something important to take care of.

I had orange juice and toast for breakfast. Minna and Palma had gotten up early to make breakfast.

“Is there something going on with you and my brother?” One of the twins asked as I was about to leave the dining area.
