Chapter Thirty Nine

Vito kept me busy throughout the night and I barely got any sleep. It was morning and we had to get up early because his family was leaving for Chicago.

I rolled over to the other side of the bed with my eyes still shut, expecting to meet Vito’s warm body. I tapped on the side but I was met with an empty bed space.

I heard a running tap from the bathroom, so I figured he was taking a shower. I stood up slowly and quietly and walked to the door, leaving his room.

I went back to my room to freshen up because Vito had asked me to go with him to the airport to drop his family off.

After freshening up, I picked out a floral blue dress from my closet and accompanied it with nude slippers.

When it was time to go, Vito came to my room to inform me that they were about to leave.

“You look beautiful.” He complimented me as we walked down the stairs. His mum and sisters were already downstairs and the driver had helped take their luggage to the car.
