Chapter Seventeen: The Witness

It has been thirty minutes already yet Minah was still standing outside, facing the front door of the first-story house in Malibay, Pasay. The gate was not too tall and everything was pretty dark out. The only thing that gave her enough light are the streetlights coming from the pathway.

She intended to meet one person in that house. Someone who knew about the incident that happened in Iloilo - the tour agent who offered Leigh a car rental service, Isabel.

The investigator she hired who's more likely to be demoted as a goon gave her Isabel's information and whereabouts. Isabel left for work earlier that day and the ones who were in the house was the housemaid and a teenage girl who was often seen in her wheelchair. That girl was Isabel's sister who had been undergoing dialysis treatment for months already.

A few days after Leigh's death, Isabel no longer returned to work. She was now working as a call center agent for a telecom company somewhere in SM Aura in Taguig City.
