With Jax’s encouragement I applied for college, using my GI bill from the Army I could attend college for almost free. Jax told me to follow my dreams, he pointed out that if I could finish college than we would be in a better place financially in the future. It did not take much to convince me, I had always wanted to graduate from college, have a more stable career, and to make my children proud of me. It had seemed like a pipe dream until now. I never had the chance to go to school when I was with Donavon, because I was working too much to focus on my studies.
