Chapter 9: Gloomy Night

“GOOD EVENING, Señor and Señora,” Samara greeted the couple she met at the dining table.

“Good evening too, Hija. It’s good that you have come,” Señora Olivia replied with a smile.

“Yes. I’m sorry if I was late, Señora. We had to finish something at the library.”

“That’s fine, Hija. Mara informed us that you will be late for tonight. Change now and have dinner with us.”

“Yes, Señora.“ Samara turned towards the kitchen, but before she could take a step, she was surprised by the presence of Jasson leaning sideways at the door frame; one arm was folded while the other hand was holding a glass.

“M-Master— you’re here,” she commented.

The glass's contents were downed by Jasson, who then stood tall. With a gloomy expression, he turned to face Samara after giving his wristwatch a quick glance.

“It’s already past seven, Ara. Your class is until five, right?” His cold voice made Samara nervous.
