Chapter 28 : Diary of the Dead

Angela could feel her adrenaline pumping. She couldn't wait to get her hands on Esmeralda's diary. Leonardo was correct; Esmeralda's diary would provide answers to all of their questions. She'd gone through every drawer and cupboard in the pink room, but the diary was nowhere to be found. She decided to visit the orchards after an hour of futile investigation. "Esmeralda, where did you put it?" She said quietly as the cold wind touched her cheek. She was standing beneath the fruitful trees, looking up at the pink room, with a portion of the window open.
