Anger in his strides, Beta Zoey made for the throne room where the Alpha was reported to be. After the great distress he felt when he spent hours searching for Zaramanni to no avail, he could not help but let fury overpower his senses. “Are we there yet?” Zaramanni asked for the third time, her calves already feeling the effect of walking up a hilly road.Beta Zoey, who was walking ahead with a rather proud gait in his steps, stopped to face her. The Alpha King could feel something ticking in his head. That feeling started when Zaramanni dropped a statement that shattered his soul in the worst way. He was still trying to grasp the reality of her statement when Beta Fam decided to act all commando for whatever reason. “Zaramanni, let’s go to your room,” the Beta said as he reached for her hand. Zara looked up at him and when she tried to smile, it failed. “You must be tired,” he said, spelling out the thought in her head. “It has been a few rough days.”“It has.” They began to walk down the corridor and Zara wished they would quickly reach the wing where her new room was. “I prepared something for you.” Zoey’s affectionate gaze made Zara wonder what it was. He answered her before she could ask. “You haven’t eaten in days. So, I instructed the palace chef to cook you something light and simple.”Her tiredness quickly crawled out of its hiding place.
