"Hey, Vick. Are you coming to dinner tonight? Lizzy is doing your favorite. Steaks and mashed potatoes?"

I was running late to the meeting point where Devin was waiting for me, but if I didn't stop and answer, Aron would get suspicious.

I was barely able to keep our relationship a secret as it was, and I knew people would judge me if they found out about me and Devin.
