chapter 22: just a fling

Alexa's POV

I was dreading going to the coffee shop the next day. Not because I cared what he did or if he came back, but mostly because I did not want to admit the fact that he may actually be my mate.

I heard sparks flew when mates touched. But the only thing that flew was insults and maybe today a broken nose might be added to that list.

But of course, the moon goddess never really addressed any of my prayers.

When he walked in just shortly after I opened the shop, I prepared myself for a mental breakdown that was long over due anyways.

" I thought I made myself clear when I said I don't want to see your pathetic face any where around me?" I asked the moment he stepped up to the counter.

" Ouch. Are you always this brutal?" He asked.

" I thought I answered this question yesterday." I asked.

" Look I know it's hard for you to just see a random stranger walking up to you and probably being a douche, but I really need to talk to you and honestly there are things you don't understand.
