Lily's POV

"I love you, Alpha..." those were the only words that escaped my lips in that moment.

I couldn't hold back; he was banishing me forever, and I would likely be prevented from seeing him again. I just hung my head as the guards held me firmly, directing me down the corridor.

"Wait! What did you say?" the Alpha spoke seriously, causing the guards to immediately stop carrying me.

At that moment, I was startled. I never thought my words would have such an impact on the Alpha. I wished I could jump into his arms and tell him that he was my mate, but I couldn't say anything. As he walked toward me with a stern expression, I felt my legs weaken, and a shiver coursed through my body.

"What did you say?" he asked firmly, his voice rigid, and his eyes fixed on me.

"I love you, Alpha Luke. I wish I had said it earlier. I'm so sorry," I stammered those words as I stared at the ground.
