I was in my office, lost in thoughts about Lily's situation and the tensions unfolding within our pack. I needed to make a decision immediately, but the uncertainty about the accusations and the need to maintain order weighed on my shoulders like two heavy stones ready to fall to the ground and crush me. It was a burden I carried as an Alpha.

The door opened, and Beta Mark entered, his serious expression filled with tension making me suspicious.

"Alpha," Mark began to speak a bit hesitantly, "I have information that could be of utmost importance to the pack."

"What have you found?" I asked, nervously trying to find any clues that could help us understand the situation.

Mark paused before speaking, carefully choosing his words so my anger wouldn't spill over onto him. "I conducted some discreet investigations and found that the Crescent Moon pack has a significant reserve of natural resources."

I was surprised by the news. "Natural resources? What exactly do they possess?"
