Like Drake instructed, the guards began to whip Koni one at a time. Soon the common public began to volunteer. Koni could hold back his cries for the first two days.  But after that, his body became sensitive and he could no longer hold back his cries of pain. What's worst is that, if someone is annoyed with something, they would come and whip Koni until they feel better. They don't let him eat properly or sleep properly. Whenever they feel like it, anyone could come and whip him senselessly, until he would pass out with pain. He tried to pretend that he passed out. But that lasted only an hour. They soon figured that he is acting, so now they are sparing him even he became unconscious. After 1 week of this torture, Koni began to pray to the fairy goddess that the princess should wake up soon. He no longer can bear this torture.  "Please forgive me and let the princess wake up" he began to beg the goddess loudly when he could
