Reuben. [I]When we finally arrived here, the gloomy state of Calavaria greeted us masked in its glum.We reached the port province of Calavaria in less than three weeks after we had embarked on the journey to here. Normally it takes an utmost of two weeks to reach this little bustling province but travelling shrouded in an unassailable disguise across the country had slowed down our pace quite a lot; as such, we arrived later than our assessed date of arrival.I dismounted from my horse and my sight fell upon the run-down city gates of Calavaria. The people of Calavaria did not seem like the ones I saw three years back. The cobblestones of the streets were cracked and dilapidated. A gust of dry wind winded through the maze of ancient houses where windows ha

REUBEN. [II]Drizzles of raindrops wetted the dusty roads of the port city of Calavaria with splashes and gently tapped against the window of my dwelling room at present. I looked out at the soft evening shower trickling down my window with a grim temperament, there was a laziness about the drizzle that somehow brought upon an inadvertent gloom about them. "Sire, the recount is ready in its utmost detail. We have uncovered everything that is to be uncovered about this bizarre scenario." Gilbert reported in a grey manner while I languidly held my bare arm out of the little bedroom window and let the droplets splatter on my outstretched fingers. I silently urged him to continue on his report and as he got the cue, he continued, "This plague cal

Reuben. [III] The abbot palace was situated high upon a hill overlooking the port city of Calavaria. It was needless to say, looked to be the most extravagant abode of all places in the province of Calavaria. I stared at the gigantic structure in front of me in wordless silence, only with a brow raised. The place looked nothing sort of a place that a holy man devoid of any greed or mundane temptations of the world would reside in. It was sort of a lavish tower that grew from the ground as an albino plant reaching for the sun. From what I could see, the tower was adorned with golden dooms and the pillars were ostentatiously painted in brilliant gold. The walls were so meticulously built that they lo

REUBEN. [IV]We made our way towards the inn we were currently lodging with the abbot in tow. He had suggested to take two of his disciples along with him and I didn’t really care to disapprove. It was not like anything much would change if a few of his cohorts tagged along. We soon reached our said destination and the moment he got off the carriage, a myriad of chaos spread along the street like wildfire. The people who saw him unconsciously scampered away from him in fright, as if they were beasts in a flood scurrying for their lives. The prior unruffled atmosphere suddenly got churned into a hushed upheaval; the people around, acting like they were seeing the devil incarnate himself. All of this happened at such a scale that it was not something that could go unnoticed even if one were to wear blindfolds.

Zylith. When I sneaked out of the castle today, my mind's eye had planned out a perfectly wonderful evening. But this wasn't it.As I watched the big burly blockheads tussling with my God-forbidden handsome hunk of a teacher, I felt an impending headache coming right up the corner."Kill him, kill him! Kill them both!!" I turned my head to the side to look at the despicable fatso beside me who was shrieking at the top of his lungs, seeming more like an excited spectator in a baseball arena cheering for his favourite team rather than a gang boss ordering his minions to thrash someone he wanted thrashed. And then I looked up into space while thinking with a sigh, 'Scientists said that the universe is made up of protons, neutrons and electrons. But they forgot to mention morons.'

Zylith."I see, so that's what happened huh!" My gorgeous teacher nodded his head finally in understanding."Hm hm yes! So..... could you... maybe keep it a secret, dear teach?" I asked while sheepishly biting my lips, and he raise a brow to that."You want to keep your disastrous secret endeavour a secret?" He asked, though I was not sure if he sounded willing enough to concede to my plea, I still could only nod my head fiercely to convince him to agree to my request."I know it's a lot to ask after all the ruckus I have caused, but please, do not turn me down dear teacher." I looked at him with the most pitiful eyes I could possibly conjure up, seeming as though I would die if he were to deny me."My dearest pupil, so you are

ZYLITH.     I gaped at the grizzly bear in front of me, or more accurately, the grizzly-like man in front of me. Now let me tell you the story of how I met this grizzly bear of a man.   The evening palace banquet that took place at an abrupt timing was in full bustle when the Queen Dowager came over and announced our V.I.P guest of the day, "Let me introduce you. This is my second uncle from my mother's side, a border general, Lord Geovelle Loghard. Uncle, this is my new daughter-in-law, First Queen Elizabeth Ronales the Regalious." The Queen Dowager chirped in a cheery voice.   I had just reached Alexteris's side and sat down when the crafty Queen Dowager's introduction came. My smile stiffened at the sudden intro, for I didn't know that this sewer rat was the Qu

Zylith.   There are many thing in life that I hated, but what I hated the most of all was.... A BITCH!   I hated bitches the most! Especially the ones that acted all weak and pitiable, while hiding a bellyful of venom!   I was glaring so hard that my eyeballs were about to ignite. In fact, if glares could kill, my scorching glare burning holes into this seductive songstress could kill her a thousand times.   General Geovelle's gaze darted between Alexteris and the bitch Angela Darling, who was currently fluttering her fake lashes at our little prince. Feeling as though his purpose of bringing this girl to the high court had finally came to fruition, delight flashed through his wease

Zylith.       Everyone has the right to be stupid sometimes. But this gentleman right here, was abusing the privilege.   Now I know what an idiot really looks like.   I looked sympathetically at the bud with all brawn and no brains. Sure enough, feeders do the most harm to your team. He'd just blurted out the treasonous thoughts that no one had dared to say.   You sir, are not a genius!   The one who broke the silence this time was Alexteris. He scornfully raised his eyebrows and laughed coldly, resting his chin on one hand. "So vice general Rottival is really aware that Lady Angela Darling is a songstress."

Zylith. There is a saying that conceited idiots never learn. And I just found it out to be the absolute truth. After a few rounds of drinks and a few flattery to boost the sewer rat general's tattered ego, his initial embarrassment gradually disappeared and he, once again seemed to have gained a fresh new life. "Pardon Your Majesties, I heard that it hasn't even been more than a few months since Her Highness the first Queen has entered the Imperial palace. Since that is the case, are you accustomed to the palace yet?" I couldn't believe the thick skin of General Loghard, after all that humiliation I put him through, he still had the face to speak to me. Sometimes people are just..... unbelievable. I looked at him in an in
