Chapter Eleven
We sat down and immediately my stomach was in knots. With the animosity between Callum and Justin, and the awkwardness between Mel and I, I was sure this dinner would be a disaster. My father added to the equation just made everything ten times worst. The seating arrangement was a nightmare. I sat sandwiched between Callum and Justin, while my father sat directly in front of me, with Eliza and Mel at his sides. He seemed to be studying my face intensely while we all sat in an awkward silence. He then turned to Callum and said "I'm sorry young man, I forgot to ask your name.""My name is Callum Gage, sir." Callum responded with ease, he and my father seemed to be the only ones that weren't nervous."Is that a Welsh accent I detect?" My father inquired."Yes, I was born in Wales, my family and I moved here when I was younger."I just wished they'd stop talking to one another, I felt like I was going to throw up."Interesting. So how do

I sat down in my father's office across from him. He looked upset, showing more emotion on his face than I had seen in a while. He looked at me, his hazel eyes filled with sadness."What did you want to talk about?" I asked. He sat up straight, fiddling with the pen on his desk."Eliza won't be a problem for you anymore. Her and I talked, things will change in this house, so you don't need to worry about her.""Okay." I said, uninterested. A woman that evil would never change. No matter how many talking to's she was given. My father looked like he wanted to say something, but seemed nervous."Was that all?" I asked. He looked into my eyes, pained."Dylan why didn't you ever say anything to me, if I knew-" He shook his head, unable to finish his sentence. If he knew then what? Would he have divorced Eliza? Would he had stopped going on all of those business trips and leaving me with people that hated me? Would he have act

The hallway was filled with people, but the one person I was looking for was nowhere to be found. I opened up my locker, and emptied the contents of my bag into it. Suddenly, a pair of strong arms wrapped around my waist, startled, I jumped out of their arms.I turned around to find my grinning, green-eyed, gorgeous boyfriend standing in front of me."You scared the crap out of me." I said, giving him a playful push.He laughed and walked towards me, wrapping his arms around my waist, our chests pressed together."Sorry, I just missed you." He whispered, looking down at me.The hallway was quieter, but I payed no mind and stared into Callum's eyes.I got on my tippy toes, and pressed my lips against his."I missed you too, even though we only just left each other a few hours ago.""It felt longer than that, I hate being away from you." He said, his forehead pressed up against mine.Out of nowhere, the bell rang, signalin

"Seven.. eight.. nine.. TEN! You both better have a really good hiding spot because I'm coming!" I yelled, laughingly.Callum and I were babysitting Sara while his parents were at work, and she decided that we should play a game of hide and seek. She task me to be the seeker, while her and Callum hid.I looked around the living room, and it was empty. I quietly walked toward Sara's room and could already hear giggling."I have a feeling that my best friend is somewhere in this room." I said, fully knowing that Sara was hiding under her bed.She continued to giggle, her laugh getting louder and louder."Hmm I wonder where she could be." I ripped open the closet door. "Interesting.. Sara isn't in the closet, but she's definitely in this room. I just have to figure out where." I paced up and down the room, and at this point she was cackling. I got down on my hands and knees and crawled towards the bottom of the bed.

Justin's POV "Sorry bro, I'm not gonna be able to drive you home after practice, I have to go to work straight after." Aaron said."It's cool man, I'll find another ride." I said, as I took my biology book out of my locker. Four of my friends, Aaron, Nate, Declan, and Jackson stood around waiting for me so that we could all go to lunch together."Justin!" A deep voice yelled from across the hall. I instantly recognized it, and shuddered. I looked and saw that it was my step dad, Steve, walking out of the office and towards me. My stomach turned. What the hell was he doing here."Who is that guy?" Nate, one of my teammates asked.I didn't respond, and began walking towards Steve. I attempted to put space between myself and the guys so that we wouldn't have to talk in front of them. Not taking the hint, they trailed behind me, whilst I got closer to Steve. He had a sticker on his chest that read 'parent visitor'.

When school was over, I met Callum in the parking lot so that he could take me home to change for work. Even though I enjoyed the time he took me on his motorcycle, I was glad he decided to drive his car today."You want to play your music?" He asked, holding the aux cord in front of me."You seem to have forgotten that I don't have my phone.""Play it from my phone." He replied, handing me his cellphone before pulling out of the school parking lot.I scrolled through his apple music library, and decided to play Drake's More Life album on shuffle.Callum laughed as Teenage Fever began to play."Sometimes I feel like you like Drake more than you like me." He said, shaking his head.I laughed and held his free hand as he drove."Maybe just a little." I said, playfully. He took his hand from mine and gasped, putting it on his heart. "Why don't you go and be with him then!"Still laughing, I replied "If I could I woul

"I didn't realize they were letting wild animals into restaurants." Evan said, standing up and facing Callum.Callum looked pissed off, more angry than I had ever seen him."And I didn't know they let homophobic assholes in here either." Callum responded, crossing his arms and giving Evan a death glare. They both stared each other down, fuming. I got up from my seat, and grabbed Callum's hand, pulling him away from Evan."Hey, do you wanna wait for me in the car till my shift is over?" I asked, looking up at him."No." He shook his head. "I think I'll stay." He said, dismissing me, while still glaring at Evan."Please, Callum. I don't want any drama at my workplace." I said, pleadingly."No Dylan! That's final." He said to me, his jaw clenched. Callum didn't even look at me, he continued to scowl at Evan."You're actually dating this guy? What? Are you into criminals?" Evan asked m

"Let's see your continue watching watching list, I promise I won't judge you." Amy said, as I scrolled through my Netflix profile.I laughed, and responded, "It's fine, I'm not ashamed of my shows." I'd like to think that I have good taste.Amy had been pestering me all last week for my cellphone number, and when I finally gave it to her, she texted me nonstop. I thought it was weird that a girl I had gone to school with for almost four years and never spoke one word to now wanted to be friends, but I decided to give her a chance anyway. She judged me before she knew me, and I did the same with her. I found out that Amy Fisher was definitely not the person I thought she was. In my mind, she was this rich girl that got whatever she wanted, and any guy she desired. I thought she would be stuck up and mean, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Instead, she was funny, outspoken, and actually a very nice

After driving for about thirty minutes (thirty minutes I spent begging Callum to tell me where we were going), we finally pulled up to my favorite restaurant Bettola.I turned to Callum, surprised. "How did you know this was my favorite restaurant? I don't remember telling you about it."He smirked, and shrugged. "I have my ways. This is only part one of the surprise, so don't get so excited just yet."I leaned over and pressed my lips against his. "Whatever it is, I know I'm gonna love it.""Wait here." Callum said, before getting out of the car. A second later he opened up the passenger side door for me.I stepped out of the car and put my arms around his neck."What did I do to get such a sweet boyfriend." I whispered, staring up at him."I do what I can, sugarplum." He said, kissing me. "C'mon, let's go. I know you're hungry." He said while interlocking our fingers.   We walk

As I zipped up the fourth dress I've tried on, a pile of dresses were dumped on my head from outside of the changing room."Amy! What is wrong you!?" I yelled through the door."Sorry!" She yelled back. "I'll warn you next time."I shook my head even though she couldn't see me. "There won't be a next time. I've tried on a million dresses at this point, I'm over it.""No, No, try on one more. There's a lavender dress in the pile that I just threw, that would look amazing on you. I promise, that's the last one I'll make you try on." Amy pleaded."Fine, but if I don't like it, we're leaving and I'll wear something from my closet." I said to her as I shuffled through the pile of dresses. There was only one lavender colored satin dress in the pile, and I could see that it was really short with a plunging neckline."Amy, I don't know about this dress, did you forget how tall I am, this dress looks very short." I stated as I held the dress up in fr
