I was napping with Claire while her breathing and heart rate continues to slow down. I woke to stirring next to me and my eyes are immediately met with Claire's. Her hand caresses my scarred up face and tears fill both our eyes. "You're really awake," she asks with disbelief.I kiss her lips to answer her question and she whimpers relieved sobs as her tongue explores my mouth. ****okay so I just recently updated a chapter and we left off that Devon gave her baby up for open adoption. Jessica wiped Jennifer's memory of Devon and ended with the devil. And since I literally can't get our favorite latina off my mind I've decided to do a back to back update. So those of you waiting for other books, blame Devon lmao. Anyway... I got to spend time with Alexis while Devon and Erica had a night to themselves. I can't believe how much in common Alexis and I have. I know I missed out her entire life and I can never get the time lost back, but I can make up for it now. We camped out in a fort we made in the living room. We stayed up late getting to know each other and she bonded with the twins until Kelly and Claire took them to bed for the night. She said good night to Kelly and Claire and I kiss them both good night.I woke to someone shaking my shoulder and look up to see Erica. I look at her confused as why she was waking me. She just motions for me to follow her and I do. I follow her passed the others and they all looked confused. I shrug, rubbing sleep from my eyes.Devon walks up to Erica and asks confused, "Where you going?""To talk with Jennifer over coffee. I'll be back in an hour," she says giving Devon a kiss. I was watching movies with Alexis while Kelly and Claire went out with the twins to Kelly's parents house. We were cuddled up on the couch watching the Lion King. We both must have fallen asleep because I woke to Devon covering us with a blanket. I look around sleepily and she motions to my right side. I look down and saw Alexis hugged to my arm, sleeping with her head on my shoulder. She had my hair and eyes but she looks like Devon. Erica, Kelly and Claire walk in, admiring how Alexis was cuddled with me. I look at Erica. After Carrie left I did a little more digging and found out several things, one of which I needed to talk to her about. It left me feeling guilty and partially at fault.
