I tried getting up and pushing off of Slate but he wouldn't let me go.   "Minerva stop.  He doesn't mean us harm.  I feel some way connected to his wolf."  I continued to struggle when Xavier spoke. "Minerva stop. I have something from your mother that will explain a lot of what is happening."I stopped struggling and just looked at him. I didn't know what to say or do. My mother died having me and 26 years later he claims to have answers."I know it's been a long time and I know you're trying to gather why I waited. It wasn't a soft landing when I fell through the book.  I sat up quickly trying to gather what happened. Looking around it was a beautiful meadow with wild flowers lining the tree line.  Not to far from me was a spring fed pond lined with rocks and a lone tree. Slate's POV----  I looked back down the stairs searching for the woman who smelled like cedar and honeysuckle.  "We have to keep our distance for awhile until we can get them alone to explain to them what is happening," Minerva whispered beside me.  I glanced at her to see a smile plastered on her face but eyes searching for her mate. I took another look across the bottom floor when I caught the eye of a beautiful human. She had blonde hair and piercing green eyes. She had a simple lavender dress that hugged all of her curves just right. "Mate," said Erebus.  I bumped Minerva and nodded towards the woman when she tightened her grip on my arm.
