Chapter 30: il Drago
Dante I looked into Sienna’s eyes and knew I could trust her with this, trust her with my lie and my truth. She might see me in a completely different light after she finds out that I am not who they made me out to be. The thought alone scared me half to fucking death, but I needed to tell her. She needs to know. “Before I became the man they call il Drago, I was very much like Dario, who took after our mother. My father saw my kind heart and decided to rip it out and burn it from my body.” I take her hand and move it across the bumps that mar my chest and back. “These scars all over my body are from what is known as Dragonetti Blood Training. Before we become made men, they train us to shut off our emotions through daily torture administered by our Capo. In our case, it was our father. He always saw me as weak and would repeat the term with every burn, cut and hit my body took. Dario somehow snuck into the basement one night at the height of my torture and saw what was being done t

Part 2 Prologue - Domenico Dragonetti
Domenico I spot her through her bedroom window as she gets herself ready for bed with her long blonde hair tied up. For three nights now my brothers and I have been camped outside the DiMarco’s estate, watching them and learning their habits. From 7 pm, Sylvana goes into her room and gets herself ready for bed, by 8 pm she turns off the lights and quiet descends over the mansion. Even though she hasn’t officially taken over from her father, she commands the household and rules it with an iron fist. This is the woman who gets my cock hard by the mere thought of her, a fucking mafia boss and heir to her father’s dynasty. No other woman would ever sate my needs after being with her - and it pissed me off. She orchestrated the attack on my family and nearly had Sienna and Dario killed. I wanted to have her tortured and disposed of, then I would have my hands washed off her. But no, Dante had other fucking things in mind and now we were watching the woman who would forcibly be my wife.

Chapter 1: 'Ndrangheta Heiress
Sylvana This can’t be happening. No, no, no! Didn’t the stupid Russians dispose of them? What did we pay them for?! The man who I tried to get away from now had my hair tangled in his fists and was pulling me towards a waiting car outside our mansion. I tried to push him, try to fight him off, but it was of no use; Domenico Dragonetti was stronger than I could ever hope to be. “Stop squirming or I’ll be forced to knock you out and trust me I am pissed off enough to not be gentle, Sylvana.” He says through gritted teeth. When he says my name, a shiver runs up my spine and I am disgusted with myself. The elder brother, the one who terrified me, had gone into my father’s room to ‘leave a message’ as he said and returned with bloodied hands. The sight alone broke through me, but I wasn’t about to show it, especially not in front of Domenico. He pushes me into the SUV and a few minutes later; we drive away - away from my father and away from my home. I look down at my shackled hands an

Chapter 2: A Fatal Attraction
Sylvana Domenico opens a door and shoves me inside. He locks the door behind us and stands there, looking at me with his arms crossed over his chest. “Why are you doing this, Domenico? Just kill me already,” I say, turning towards him and wrapping my arms around my body when a chill runs up my spine. He scoffs. “That’s what I suggested, but my fucking brother would rather see me suffer along with you,” he says, looking at me with disdain. Wow, what happened to the Domenico that obsessed over me? He walks over to me and drags me into a massive walk-in closet. “Sienna picked this shit out for you, go shower and clean up.” He then turns around to walk out and stops at the entryway. “Oh, and don’t think about trying to escape or kill me in my sleep. Since your little attack, Dante has beefed up the security detail and any sharp object in this room has been removed. You can fashion nothing into a weapon either. Try anything, and I won’t hesitate to make you sleep next to your headless

Chapter 3: Suffocation
Sylvana I dressed down in a pair of jeans, a white blouse and some flats… then I waited. What else was there to do but wait? Sitting on the enormous bed, I drew my legs up to my chin and breathed out a sigh. Domenico came in here, and as soon as he saw me naked, something snapped in him. The worst part was I allowed it to happen. I didn’t push him away; I didn’t stop him. So, it wasn’t fair that I put all the blame on him. Craving Domenico’s dominance is one thing, submitting to him is another altogether. How did we even start talking at the wedding? One minute I was angry at my father for bringing me here, the next Domenico was fucking me against the wall of a guest room. My father did not train me to be a Mafia Princess, saving myself for my wedding day. No, I quite enjoyed casual sex, but the one time with him was anything but casual. Once I got a taste, he was embedded in my mind and wrapped in my senses. Now look at me; a prisoner. I’m so wrapped up in my own thoughts that I

Chapter 4: Could I Tame Him?
Sylvana I’m getting married today. From today forward my body will belong to Domenico Dragonetti to do with it as he pleases, and I have a feeling I will not come out unscathed. Dante mentioned someone coming to preside over the ceremony tonight, so that leaves me with a few hours to myself. I can’t marry Domenico… even if every inch of my body yearned for him, I couldn’t allow myself to be his. But what choice did I have now? My family were all gone and with no one to contact the Capobastone, where does that leave me? I sigh and walk over to the window that leads out to a small terrace. Perhaps being married to a Dragonetti wouldn’t be as bad as I think? Look at Sienna and Dante. But then again, Sienna had to marry Dante in a marriage arranged between families. She wasn’t a pawn in an act of revenge, as I was. Thinking back to when I arrived here, Dante’s entire body language changed as soon as he saw her. Anyone could see they were in love with one another, even if being married

Chapter 5: Near Death Situation
Sylvana A few hours later, Sienna walks in, holding a garment bag with a smile on her face. “Hey,” she says with a small voice, but I could only force out my own smile. “Alessandro has arrived, the ceremony will begin in two hours.” My eyes widen at this. I was hoping they would call it off or someone would speak some sense into Dante, but no. By this evening I would be Mrs Dragonetti. She walks toward the bed and places the garment bag on the bed. I look up at her. “I’m not worth the effort, Sienna. Just leave me to be miserable and enjoy it. I ruined your life, I don’t deserve your kindness.” I say while facing away from her. Our conversation earlier has been plaguing my mind non-stop and I knew Dante was right - it was all my fault. Her inability to produce an heir for Dante was because of me. “Sylvana,” she starts, sitting on the bed next to me and sighs. “No, you made a mistake. But you can still rectify it. I know you would rather die than be here right now, but sometimes we

Chapter 6: Domenico's Thoughts
Domenico What a joke of a fucking wedding. Sylvana clings to me for the remainder of the evening. When I spoke to Sienna after she spent the afternoon with her, she told me everything was fine, that Sylvana was just nervous to be around me. The only other person to see her after that was Dante, so what the fuck did my brother say to her? When we heard the commotion, the scene before me froze me in place; the proud ‘Ndrangheta heiress standing with a gun to her head, ready to kill herself rather than marry me. I recognised that wild look in her eyes. Dante had it after finding out they had killed our parents. He was hell bent on killing those responsible, just as Sylvana was hell bent on killing herself a few minutes ago. I still don’t know what made me walk over to her and calm her down. All I knew was that I hated seeing her like that. It paid off, because I think she trusted me a bit more now. “Sylvana, welcome to the family,” Sienna says and walks over to us. “You have a beauti

Chapter 7: What If...?
Sylvana Domenico pulls me in tighter, wrapping his arms around my waist and savouring the moment. I could taste the vodka he had earlier - the bitter tinge was a contrast to the sweetness of his kiss. This time had I pulled him in for a kiss instead of the other way around; was this my way of giving in to him? It… it sort of felt that way. The feel of his tongue against mine, guiding me into a deeper kiss, was making me lose all sense, especially when I felt his hardness against my abdomen. Then he breaks off the kiss. I look at him, a confused frown crossing my brow, but he only smiles at me and shakes his head. “I don’t think you’re thinking straight right now, Sylvana. You’ve been running on adrenaline all evening,” He says, but this made me even more confused. Isn’t this what he wanted? I was giving in to him willingly and he.... was turning me down? “I don’t want you to do anything you’ll regret later. So, let’s take a beat and separate for the evening, okay?” He says, and I

Chapter 8: Poolside Confessions
Sylvana It’s been almost a month of back and forth with this family. Domenico has kept true to his promise about acting as if he hated me, and it appears as if Dante believed the play. Sienna and I have grown closer as well. Although I still feel guilty for my part in her infertility, she assures me that she does not blame me. I still do not know what I did to deserve her friendship, but I have decided to start trusting her nonetheless. Domenico has not touched me since our wedding night, save for the occasional slap on the ass when he’s playing his role of my tormentor. Other than that, he has been a complete gentleman. I still can’t help but to think of him as trustworthy. How can I believe his words when his older brother hates me? It was morning, and I had just left the shower for the walk-in closet when I heard a knock on the door. “Sylvana, may I come in?” Sienna’s voice came through the door and I smiled because the only one who asks for permission to enter what is basically
