Angry Chipmunk
“Excuse me? You are in our seats.” I stared back in bemusement at the two girls blocking my view of the board with their bodies. After the debacle with Celyn, jerkface had wolfed down the rest of his lunch -I had no part in it- and then threw the peace sign at the guys before ducking out. He hadn’t even waited for Celyn and Sarah to come back from the restroom so he could apologise to her. Not that Celyn had acted like she was offended by what he said to her. Deciding I’d pushed my luck far enough, I grabbed my backpack, waved goodbye to mystery girl and left. It was obvious that Celyn didn’t hold jerkface responsible for the soda incident but she certainly held me responsible and I refused to bear the brunt of her anger, definitely not on my first day.

Grand Tour
“Hi Rhemir. No, not much of a problem. Mari and I have always sat here. We were just three minutes late to class and now she won’t get up from our seat.” She even toyed with her hair, batting her eyes at him.  I shook my hair at her antics. Idiot girl. I didn’t give a shit who Rhemir or the ‘Kings’ were and he was certainly not going to get me out of my seat by just ordering it. “If they’ve always sat here, I see no reason why two good friends should be separated. There is a vacant spot at my seat, do you mind joining me?” Angry chipmunk had been nodding in agreement until his question. She sputtered in shock -I was stupefied by his offer too- but she recovered quickly. “That’s not necessary

Foreign Entity
Class finished a while later. Honestly, time whipped by because one minute, I was watching the black and white movie, the next, the lights were coming back on and the teacher was saying something. I could barely hear a word he was saying. It felt like I was underwater, the world in clear focus, but yet blurry. I was not the most intelligent student at my old school, but I was never distracted in class either. My skin felt very tight, my breath getting very short, it was literally almost impossible for me to pull oxygen into my body. I was getting dangerously close to passing out as colours swam across my eyes, the world around me getting very bright, the colours mixing together to become a riot of colors, more colors than even the rainbows had. What stood out were the brilliant orange and the purple light. Normal colors that everyone w

Inquisition
I belted a short deranged laugh. Yeah, I was leaning more towards the hallucination option. Who would believe that the voice in my head belonged to someone else. It was happening to me and I could scarcely believe myself. Maybe….. “Kiera!” I whirled around and tried to locate the voice amongst all the moving bodies.  Oh, yeah. School was over for the day and I was in the school parking lot waiting for my mum to come pick me. Every other student was hopping into their car and driving away, just like Mrs’ Crook had said. Only very few students were entering their friend’s cars. “Kiera!” The familiar voice yelled again. I turned in a circle, trying to locate Sarah.

Not My Own
“Kiera! Why didn’t you just wait for me to park the car? You could have been injured, you know?” She admonished wide eyed.   “I just didn’t want you to get stuck amongst the cars trying to leave. C’mon, I’m ready to be done with this day.” I rolled down the window on my side and stared at nothing in particular.   “Okayy?” She drawled out but she did turn the car so we could leave the walls of the school behind. “How  was your first day at school? The monsters did not trouble you too much did they?” She broke the silence some twenty minutes later.    “It's whatever.” There was a strange burning sensation in my stomach. “How was your first day at the house?”     “It was whatever.” Sh

You Are In My Body
Kiera's POV  The fire razed the forest, burning all the trees and plants. Its acrid stench clogged my nose and made my eyes water. I could see nothing but smoke and the wolf, unmoving. Soon, the whole forest will be burnt down. The fire was going to engulf everything in the next few seconds and I would be burnt to death. There was no conscious thought or rationalization. I turned and ran for my life. I didn’t stop running until the burning smoke became a thin flash in the air. Gasping heavily, I watched from a mile -miles? Meters? I had no idea, I only knew I was very far away and could barely see the smoke in the air- away as sirens blared so loud, I thought my eardrum would become damaged. The siren reminded me of when I had set our house on fire with my father and his mistress in it.

PART II;(OUT OF THE CHRYSALIS): Not A Wolf, Neither A Human
[A/N; Hello once again dear reader. I really do hope Kiera and Mason's story has you in its trenches as much as it has me. The story has several parts -the parts follow Kyros' awakening and his rise back to power, and Kiera's attempts to stop that from happening- and we are in the second part. As the story evolves, we will be having point of view from other characters, one of such characters is Mason's wolf, Alvis. This is because Kiera is still unaware of a lot of things at this point but you need to be aware of them so that the story and the characters' actions can make sense to you.And if you do love the book, please consider voting for the book and dropping a comment. ]   ALVIS' POV       I lifted my snout to the air, catc

Abyss
MASON's POV My head was on fire. I groaned and tried to roll over. I shrieked in pain as my left arm made contact with the soft bedding. The coverlet was soft but that was no comfort for the shooting pain that shot up my arm. I opened eyes brewing with tears and examined my left arm. Oh, holy goddess. My left arm was fried. From my shoulder down to my fingernails was all black. My arm was a piece of meat left to roast for days over a grill. Heck, I couldn’t recognize my arm. It was charred and throbbing. Even lifting my finger brought the sharp bite of pain to my body. I didn’t know pain in one body part could radiate to the rest of my body until I tried to stretch the burnt nerve in my left arm.

Defective
MASON's POV (Continued)   My dad’s office was downstairs and we were two floors up. Walking down the hallway and another stairs, then through the kitchen to get to the office had never been as long as it was today. It felt like I walked for more than an hour before I got to his office. My leg was also sore and hurting. It seemed I hurt more thanjust my hand in the fire but wordvomiting to my parents was unfortunately not going to get me justice I seek for a number of reasons. To begin with, I was the next alpha in line after my father and I was an only child but the possiblity of me being chosen as the next alpha was slimmer than if I had been the first of several children. Ever since my wolf got injured three years ago and I couldn’t shift or communicate with my wolf, several pack members had deemed me defective and incapable of l
