Nick felt like he was being pulled by an invisible hand. He lost his mind and crossed that one step distance between them. His left arm wound around Kate's waist, and his right cupped her face. Everything happened too fast that Kate was not sure if anything of these was real. She closed her eyes as soon she felt Nick's breath so near her. Nick thought Kate was welcoming his actions as to why she closed her eyes.  It made him bolder.  He softly brushed his lips against her. Kate felt his lips warm next to hers.  With her eyes still closed, she mimicked his lips' moves unconsciously.  The two felt like they were floating in the clouds of their world that they let their mind drift off and swim in the vast sea of lust. The two souls felt like big waves were tossing them far from the shore of sanity. Numbing their rationality like they were inside a dream and free to do whatever they wished.

Nick went back to his room when he was sure Kate was already asleep. He washed up and changed his nightclothes before going to bed. Another sleepless night for Nick. His heart was torn into half of great delight and half of weariness. But there was nothing he could do now to reverse everything that had happened. And maybe if there were any way that he could do so, Nick would still choose to keep them the way they did.  Because it revealed both of their emotions towards each other, Kate also admitted he liked Nick, and likewise, Nick was able to confess his true feeling for Kate.
