XX. Very Human
Dior chose a very good place because this residential area used to be the most populated. It is really good for hiding without caring about the zombies surrounding it. Also, because it was a residential area, the houses used to have vegetable gardens in their backyards. Though thick grasses has grown beside them, it was easy to clean them all up and harvest some vegetables. But it is definitely not enough. “Dior, can we go back there? Let's get the apples and water.” Approaching Dior, she spoke pointing the place they were before. Dior's eyebrow twitched, apparently still confused what she was saying. Farrah was patient and repeated her questions, but this time, with an example. She gestured as if she's eating something then pointed the direction they came from. It seems that this time, he finally understood. He marched outside, and called out several zombies. The lower-level zombies scrambled as they ran towards Dior. “Ggggrr...” Dior growled in unknown language. Farrah immediate

XXI. Interesting (Part One)
Farrah thought she was hallucinating. The scene where his eyes speaks emotions kept playing in her mind even until this moment that a day had already passed. Just when she's about to lose hope for their future, her husband came back. He didn't disappoint her and came back for her. Dior is getting back his human nature, and how to do so? Kill higher-level zombies and eat their nucleus. Her theory before was actually correct. It is indeed the reason why Dior managed to regain even just a bit of human consciousness. Right now, he's like a 3-4-year-old kid. He wasn't able to talk straight but he knew a few words such as food and danger. He also knew his nickname for Farrah, which is Fae. There's nothing more rewarding than this. To know that Dior wasn't a hopeless case and now obviously acting human, Farrah is on cloud nine. Many changes could be seen in his body. His skin was no longer as pale as before, and his veins turned back to their natural color. He looked human now, though th

XXII. Tricked
Farrah and Dior has reached another city. The population here was no less than T City. When the zombies following them arrived here, the numbers doubled and made it the most dangerous place than T City. Farrah's attention wasn't focus on this though.  “Why did you order that two zombies to go back to the apartment?” She questioned, not really hoping for an answer. Dior huffed, “They, attack, surprise...” He croaked, gesturing with his hands. He thought Farrah didn't understand so he added. “...Danger. us. Danger.” “You mean they're people wanting to surprise attack, so we are in danger?” Farrah exclaimed, marveling how amazing Dior to know easily if someone's plotting his demise. But who could it be? Surely it wasn't Red Dragon. They might be strong, but they were nothing against Dior. Could it be another group?

XXIII. Survivors
Days passed like nothing, but what surprised Farrah the most was the fact that even when Dior turned into a zombie, the compatibility of them haven't decreased. They pretty much survived several days in strange life pattern, though not easy. Knowing that some people wanted to kill them, Farrah decided not to stay permanently in one place, and tonight, they plan to move to another place again. Though there's still a language barrier between them, Dior pretty much just listened to all of her commands. He acts like a bodyguard ready to protect her whenever there's even just a little bit danger.  “The moon is beautiful tonight,” Farrah suddenly spoke as they walk in the middle of the road. Dior paused, with a bewildered look on his face.  “Yeah, moon, beautiful...” He eventually replied, nodding like a chick pecking at rice. Farrah almost burst out laughing with his reply.

XXIV. What's There To Doubt
Yuan and Ysa decided to stay for 3 days in Farrah and Dior's home. Though Farrah were a bit hesitant since Dior wasn't completely human, she ended up agreeing with the siblings' request for shelter seeing the two pair of pleading and pitiful eyes. As payment, Yuan gave them half of their food supply hidden in their space storage. Farrah accepted it with a wide smile, one of her worries relieved. Dior bristles with annoyance, but under Farrah's reproaching look, he ended up ignoring them as if they didn't exist. This indifferent attitude didn't affect the two siblings though, especially Ysa, who's eyes are always plastered on Dior's body everywhere he goes. Farrah noticed it quickly, but did not say anything. She thought she's just amazed by Dior's beauty, so she decided to close one eye on it. When the night came, a very special and warm dinner were placed on the table. Farrah sat beside Dior, contemplating how to deceive the tw

XXV. Dead?
Seeing that Dior could not be enticed, Ysa seems to have woken up from her dream and stopped approaching him altogether. Maybe her pride was shattered by his avoidance so she stopped leaving her room in shame. Farrah scoffed at this, while Dior remained non-committal.  The next day, the two left Farrah and Dior's apartment. Before they left, Yuan repeatedly apologized. Farrah waved it off and let the two move their way out.  Seeing them finally disappear, Dior huffed with satisfaction. Farrah noticed it and smiled. “You're really that happy they're now gone, huh. You really don't like them, do you?” Dior frowned, shooking his head. The moment he saw the two of them, what he felt first was disdain and natural dislike. He didn't understand why Farrah was willing to take care of them, but since she decided it, Dior didn't stop her. He just acted like they didn't exist.  A week

XXVI. Ceremony
The first thing Ferdinad did was to calm down. He cleared his thoughts and looked at Twilight with dead serious eyes, eyes colder than ice. “What happened, tell me. How did you confirm she's dead?” He needed to make sure. After all, Farrah promised him that she will probably stay there for three months. What if she just separated with her group, and Twilight thought she disappeared and already dead? Farrah is searching for Dior, so sooner or later, she had to part ways with her temporary team. Maybe, she's just there, still looking for Dior? Twilight saw his thoughts and cleared her throat. “Alright. Take a seat first, Mr. Luman.” Ferdinand didn't budge, silently staring at Twilight while patting DaeDae's back. “No need. I don't care if I have to stand up, sit, or kneel. What's important right now is to know what happened to my daughter. Don't try to stall. Explain clear

XXVII. Familiar
They spent the night inside the unfinished building. When morning came both of them managed to capture a rabbit, thankfully, it wasn't infected. It probably stayed far away from the city and managed to avoid getting infected. Infected animals usually die after being infected, and though infection to animals weren't as dangerous as the humans', it is still a threat for Farrah.  Dior didn't dare to neglect and quickly examined the rabbit. Seeing it was safe and clean, they quickly cleaned and cooked it above a hot bonfire. Poor little rabbit.  Caressing her bulging stomach, Farrah scooted closer to Dior. “We'll stay here for a week, and if nothing happens, we will go back directly. Anyway, where's your phone? The one that you used to call me?” Farrah questioned, wrapping her hands on Dior's sturdy waist.  Dior pinched Farrah's waist, making the latter squeal. “...I forgot already. I seem to

XXVIII. Scouting Team
Few days later, several bases sent their most elite warriors to C City, and the Governess mobilized them quickly. She sent three powerful groups to the city where they last saw the monarch, fully prepared and ready for a large scale fight.   Farrah and Dior continued their 'vacation' in light-hearted manner. Because they're under the sun too often, both of them had tanned considerably. It covered Dior's natural paleness and turned him into his old tanned self. Looking happy and satisfied, Dior looked at his skin with a grin. “Now, this is really the color that suits me. I'm not a vampire, why should I be so pale?” “Pale or tanned, you both looked handsome so don't worry.” “You really think I'm handsome, huh? Good to know!” “Of course! Should I call you ugly then?” Farrah snickered.  Dior gave him

XXIX. Group B
“Do what?” Farrah smiled, crossing her arms on her chest. Olivia paused, “Fight. Do you guys fight a lot?”Fighting? Farrah shook her head as an answer. Back when DaeDae wasn't there yet, they used to fight a lot due to some minor disagreements. Ferdinand used to be their pacifier, and only when their son was born that fights and disagreements ceased to exist. They found out the fighting would lead them and their relationship to doom, so both of them decided that it is better for them to talk in calm manner than raise their voices over each other like competing who's louder. It also teached Farrah a lot of things, especially that day where she thought Dior would hit her when he raised his hand while they're in the middle of arguing. She didn't know what happened, she simply thought Dior would hit her when he raise his hand so she unconsciously raised her arm to cover her face, neck shrinking. She remembered how stunned
