Chapter 11
Cirilla's point of view "Pretty pretty please" I dared not looking at her. Especially when she had her adorable puppy dog eyes on display. I didn't need anything that will alter my decision. "I'm sorry Lyra. I have a heap of things to do tonight" I lied smoothly. Hoping she doesn't prod any deeper. I literally had nothing to do after my shift at the gym. I chose today as my weekly day off from the bar. But there was no way I will be attending the party to celebrate her brother's return back home. "But you don't have to work at the bar tonight" Her pleading voice reminded. I mentally groaned in frustration, wishing I never chose today as my day off. It would have been much easier if I actually had to work today. I finally turned to her. Her brown wavy hair dangling at both sides of her face. Her bulging chocolate eyes holding mine expectantly. "I'm sorry Lyra" I hate to break her heart. But it's a massive NO from me. "You don't have to stay for too long.

Chapter 12
Cirilla's point of view 'Get away from me!!!' I was startled by his words. I felt a knot tighten my chest in pain.It was unbelievable how those words clung to my thoughts and wouldn't let go. His voice was pleading and it held so much pain. But he refused to gaze at me. He had jerked away from my touch like I was some kind of lethal poison that could possibly harm him, even worse kill him. Even when Stefan and Wren had rushed to his side and helped him out of the dancefloor, he still wouldn't look at me. It was frustrating and I hated myself more for still thinking about him. I can't seem to pry him out of my thoughts. Sighing, I focussed my attention on the punching bag in front of me in the training area. I resumed my punches on the bag, unable to quell my rage, frustration and confusion. No matter how hard I thought about it, no matter how much i tried to understand him, I still didn't get him at all. And it was infuriating. The fact that everything ab

Chapter 13
Asher's point of view After an eventful evening at Miles's bar, we were in the car waiting for Lyra, she had left for the restroom and was taking her sweet time. But I didn't mind. Any minute from now, Cirilla would be done with her shift and hopefully, I would get the chance to watch her leave. I was disconnected abruptly from my thoughts by the frenzied state of Lyra as she raced to us from a distance. I jumped out of the driver's seat. 'Lyra what's wrong?' I asked her in a rush through the mind-link. At a glance, she was before us, and Stefan was by her side calming down the wild pounding of her heart. Her worrisome chocolate eyes held horror and an oppressing rage. "Julia has totally gone nuts!" She yelled in a rant. "What did she do now Ly----" Dorian's attempted words were silenced by Lyra's yell. "She's attacking Cirilla. She might kill her!" "What??!" The loud chorus from the guys was nothing but muffled sounds compared to the shattering echoes that pierced the walls of

Asher's Point Of View I noticed the flicker of surprise that stood within those round, beautiful irises of hers. But her face and demeanor didn't show any other emotion. Nothing at all, well except for the furious pounding of her heart. She did a good job looking as normal as possible. I gave my eyes the liberty to explore her features. Her beautiful flawless face, skin as smooth as silk, perfect round curves, and her legs were perfect and beautiful in those training shorts. Beads of sweat having the privilege to feast on her skin, I wished it were my hands working wonders on her skin. I had to mentally fight off the emotions Ryker was fueling in me. I needed to be sane, to figure out exactly how much she knew about me and what to do about that. She nodded to whatever Vince was saying, and when his lecture was getting unbearable, I mindlinked him to scram. I wanted her to myself. Only to me. My wishful thinking was granted. Immediately Vince left us I pulled my tee, jumping into t

Chapter 15
Cirilla's Point Of View "Remember what the doctor said and if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to call me" His face grew awfully close to mine. Slowly I gripped the thin fabric of my sheets to keep me from gasping at the closeness. The last few hours that Asher has been next to me were the most dangerous hours in my entire life. I fought the insane urge to lean into him, run my hands through his skin, and place my lips on his soft tempting ones. The urge was slowly overcoming me. But I dared not look away, or give any sign or inkling that he somehow affected me. I couldn't. I nodded to his words, knowing full well I wouldn't dare call him, even if insanity had plagued me and I wanted to call him, I didn't have his number. His lips smiled, teasingly, and I watched him leave my room with one last glance at me. A few seconds later, the front door jammed closed. I was sure he had gone already, I released the breath I had no idea I was holding. I forced myself out of bed, groa

Chapter 16
Cirilla's point of view "Hey, how are you feeling?" My phone vibrated. It was a text. I checked the number and it wasn't from my contact. I began to type, before I could finish another text popped up. "It's Asher" I paused momentarily, staring at the name. A text popped up again. "Are you asleep?" How did he get my contact? "No. I'm still awake" I sent back, tapping the tip of my fingers on my lips. "How's your ankle? Does it hurt badly?" His text popped up, making an unwanted smile stalk my lips at his concern. Yes it does. But I couldn't say that. "Not that bad" "Do you need anything?" He asked. "Not really. I'm unable to get through to Lyra. Could you get her to call me?" I waited for his response but there was nothing, even after five minutes. I sighed, I was dying from thirst and was in dire need of a shower and I had to pee. I stared at the black swollen ankle and then to the bathroom door at the corner of my room. I pulled the

Cirilla's point of view The door to my room jerked open the second Asher jumped off. Mum's sandy brown eyes fell on me instantly. "Mum, you're back" I smiled a little, knowing she probably wouldn't return it but a little part of myself hoped she would. Somehow I thought two days apart would work magic on our relationship but it was obvious it didn't. "Didn't you hear me call?" She barked, scrutinizing me, and I did her as well. Nothing changed. She was the same. Same appearance, and the same attitude. "I was asleep" Her nose flared up in the air as she looked around my room as if sensing someone was there. Well, If she suspected anything, she didn't say a thing and just stormed off. leaving me to my thoughts and the tingles I was still feeling from the spot Asher's lips touched my cheek. I crashed on the bed, pulling the sheets to my face, and squealing into them. I woke up early the next day and prepared for school. There was no point missing it if I'd only stay home alone, wit

Chapter 18
Cirilla's point of view I jerked up from bed as soon as I heard the loud honking from outside. Hastily, I grabbed the small backpack on the bed and I rushed outside into the moonlit darkness, shutting the door behind me. The last couple of days I've been hanging out with Lyra and the guys, and was invited to spend the weekend at her place. Knowing Mum would never approve of it, I had decided to be a disobedient daughter for once and thought it was best to sneak out tonight and be back in the morning before she noticed my absence. I doubt the possibility of that, but luckily for me, Mum packed up earlier today for a weekend trip. Stefan's black BMW was parked outside my house. As I walked closer, I could see at least four figures in the car. Lyra told me she was coming alone to pick me up, I guess the guys decided to tag along. She jumped out from the back seat, squealing in sheer euphoria and delight. She squeezed me in a hug, her chocolate brown eyes smiling from its cage. "We ar

Asher's point of view What the hell was she doing here? I froze momentarily, sizing her up in her sticky wet clothes, looking so perfect on my bed like she belonged there. Fuck! I felt myself go hard, and Ryker had awoken. She looked surprised at first; she didn't know this room was mine. But then her eyes traveled down my body, taking in every detail. Suddenly, the air around us charged with current, and I smelled her arousal. It was almost as if there was a magnetic string pulling us together. Curse the matebond. Curse these strings of fate. I had intentionally been avoiding her the whole night. It was dangerous to have her close to me, especially with the full moon two nights away. But then I was forced to save her in the pool, and here she was, a seductive temptress, enticing me. I can't. Any wrong move and Ryker would take advantage and mark her. Mark her against her will right before the full moon. That would be unfair to her. I took a step back. Something in her eye

Chapter 20
Asher's point of view I was rooted to the sofa. My darkened eyes watched Andy halt right before my mate. His lips twitched in a mischievous smile, causing the guys to release unison laughter and cheers. They probably thought something was funny, but I didn't. And the look on Cirilla's face was unreadable. There was no way of telling exactly what was going through her mind, but I was in chaos. Ryker had gone ballistic, battling me for control. He wanted to cut off Andy's hand that he had brought to my mate. He wanted to detach the miserable bastard's head from his body and rip out his heart. I wanted that too. I badly wanted that. Cirilla was mine. No one had the right to have her, let alone touch her. I was seething with rage, burning with jealousy, and dying from frustration. I watched as Andy's hand landed on her face. Fuck! I lost it. I couldn't sit still and watch one of my pack warriors touch my mate, in my very own presence. My eyes had darkened. I didn't even realize Ryker a
