Chapter 1
Mark's POV If ‘confusion’ was human, I'd be the embodiment of it. Pretty sure that at this point, I can say it's my middle name. Why? Well, having a hundred doubts about my sexual orientation after dating a couple of girls- and currently in a relationship with one, I might add, does that to a person. In this scenario, of my raging thoughts and confused mind, I'm seated awkwardly in a dimly lit gay strip club.I shifted in my seat and rubbed my sweaty right hand against the smooth surface of my pants while scanning my eyes over the whole interior of the club once again. It was a Friday evening and the strip club was buzzing with the energy of young people who came in here to loosen up, hook up, or just have fun.The pieces of ice in the nearly drained tumbler slightly crinkled against each other as I downed a mouthful of my beer, feeling the cold liquid smoothly slide down my throat in ripples. I was currently sitting beside the bar while every other person was sitting in

To say I was surprised when Chris and I pulled up at a cheap-looking motel not too far from the strip club was an understatement — I was taken aback. Chapter 3
Mark’s POV I fixed my pants and buckled my belt up in the next second. My heart was starting to race once again, but this time, it was out of fear.“It’s a bomb.” He replied quietly— way too calmly, as he placed the supposedly deadly equipment on the floor and pulled out another box from beneath the bed. My eyes widened in horror and it took me a few seconds before I could begin to breathe again.I watched as he shook the box for a few seconds before leaving it on the floor and hurrying towards the bathroom, disappearing into it. I stared down at the said bomb with my heart in my throat, my hands starting to sweat almost immediately. I didn’t know what a bomb was supposed to look like since I’ve never seen one before, but from the number of times I’ve read about it, I was kind of expecting it to look like something extremely deadly or dangerous— and not this small shaped equipment which I just noticed had tiny numbers in blinking red colors on the middle of it, which kept changing
