I opened my eyes slowly, the sound of intense typing pulling at my conscious to wake up. The first sight which I was greeted by after sitting up was of Julian. The furrow between his brows drawing my attention as I struggled between getting out of bed to remove it or sit back and frown at it, till it went away.Julian was quick to notice me assessing him with my eyes and put his laptop aside to walk over to me. It had become a routine now, after our actions of the previous night. I became even more sluggish when it came to getting out of bed and Julian took it upon himself every day to help me out and freshen me up."Come on Love, I've prepared the bath." he said.I shook my head slowly and frowned."I don't wanna move."I replied. His brows drew together in worry as I snuggled closer to the blanket, knowing the question that he was going to throw at me."Does it hurt?" he askedI looked to him and shook my head again as he approached his side of the bed. I had pulled his pillow to cover up t

Julian cleared his throat and the male whipped around, green eyes meeting mine as my smile turned to a frown and my excitement shimmered down. I turned to Julian and whispered in a low voice."Why him?" I asked.Julian chuckled, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear before replying."He's the only one I can leave you with, knowing that he won't hurt you." Julian replied.I turned my speculating gaze to Edward as he gave me an offended look, I clearly hadn't been quiet enough for him to not catch it."What if she tempts me to?" Edward asked.Edward questioned as Julian rolled his eyes, turning his attention to his brother."Then you better know what's good for you." Julian answered. They maintained eye contact for a while, it felt like an intense staring contest was going down. Edward was the first to blink and groaned as he did so, a satisfied look crossed Julian's features, bringing a smile to my face as Edward gave a defeated sigh."fine. But do you expect her to learn in that?" Edward asked

"Well that wasn't dramatic at all."I muttered before turning to Julian, who still looked dazed by the information. His eyes stayed glued to me as he clearly tried to process what I had told him."Why didn't you tell me Love?" he asked.Blood rushed to my face again as I squirmed in place. Embarrassment finally washed over me as I realized what I had revealed to them. I had just found out after taking a shower in the morning as well and I didn't quite know that the training would involve things like kicking.Which we had gone over for the first half hour but after I had failed at that... miserably might I add. Edward had decided to move on to the other technique."D-Donna told me that i-it's considered bad in the society to tell someone when you're on your period." I said.Julian sighed, running a hand through his hair. A habit which he rarely showed and on the occasions that he showed it was when he felt even slightly weird."Yes, but I'm your husband aren't I. I should know in case you don'

The letter read:"Boss,We've covered the land you told us to and we've scouted out all the men responsible for the job. All have been eliminated and we've managed to set free a bunch of girls through the EC. Thankfully nor the police neither the government seem to be pursuing the matter as we've arranged for everything before hand. The EC wanted you to know that the girls have reached their homes safely and your message has been spread. It seems as though an indirect threat from the Spade's has arrived. The leader has demanded a meeting with you to clear everything out and sign a proper alliance. We've taken his son hostage in case he tries to go through with the break in. The date he's requested is in a week, his son will be taken care of by us till then, and we won't inflict any unnecessary harm on him. Donna's safety issue had also been dealt with, the man holding the threat is locked up in the chambers for you to do whatever you please with him."Julian lifted his head and frowned

Training was easier with Julian, he wasn't under strict orders to not touch me and he was definitely more patient than Edward. Whereas Edward would scold me or scream at my failures in frustration, Julian would just chuckle and calm me down. However, it didn't decrease the embarrassment of failing in front of your husband at all. In fact, I was so embarrassed that I found it very hard to focus more than half the time, it seemed as though Julian had understood that fact and he did his best to make me as comfortable as possible.I gasped as a hand trailed my inner thigh, my hands around the gun tightened. I could've mistakenly fired at this point, but I was too distracted by the body behind mine and the hand covering mine, to care. His breath fanned over my neck as I resisted the urge to lean into the heat his body provided. "Open your legs a bit wider love." he said.My face nearly exploded as I slowly followed his instructions. I felt so utterly embarrassed and in a way, all over the plac

I stomped on the temptation to pass him a smug look and turned back to the file at hand. It contained all the information about the new man who had decided to trade a bounty for Amrita's head. He was put down immediately but his resolve didn't diminish, instead it spread farther and quicker.Word reached the world about the Donna of "Dilitirio" and many more threats rose up. Under Fathers rule, things were different. He had proven to be psychotic by stabbing our uncle to death at the age of 14, ever since then, people had feared him and his hunger for power and control. My grandfather and Father together trained me to dominate our world, to kill without thought and take without consent. Whereas, my mother indirectly taught me the things they didn't mention.Watching her get pushed around, ridiculed, mocked and used didn't settle well with me and when I threatened to drop my position if he didn't stop it. The man finally let up. But his hunger for power shifted after I took over. From day o

There wasn't anything that I was sworn to protect or a duty I was supposed to keep up with. The only thing expected from me was to act like a sweet little puppet and give birth to the heir. Something that neither me nor Julian wanted was for our child to be in danger. The window creaked, drawing my attention to it as I watched the wind rustle the papers placed on the desk. Deciding to divert my mind from the horrifying thoughts. I unrolled from myself, placing the gun beside me before carefully strolling to the desk. Ready to duck under the bed or behind the furniture if someone suddenly decided to barge in.In front of me, lay a beautifully written letter and beneath it their were several manila colored envelopes. From the undone seals, I knew that Julian had already read them and if he left them out then they mustn't have been a big deal. Right?Shrugging off the thought I picked up the paper and sat down on the couch beside the desk.Dear Julian,I know being a new boss must be very ha

"Some resented openly and when they threatened to resort to violence, the boss kicked them out and started to look for new recruits. During that time it seemed that one of the ex-allies had hired a hit man who wanted to get back at boss's father, and what best way to destroy the gang than killing the Donna."Julian had mentioned something about a hit man who wanted to get back at the family for some misunderstanding with his uncle."The man was caught by one of sir Edward's team members and annihilated soon after. The new recruits were easy to find with sir Edward checking their backgrounds and hand picking them and the boss going over their situation and interviewing them. The exiled members on the other hand had started to scheme with some of the members inside the gang, which is why boss prohibited anyone who wasn't under the oath from entering the estate."No wonder I hadn't spotted many men around lately, those that used to once defy the rules and make eye contact with either me or J

All thoughts of him feeling anything at all vanished completely from my head as I understood that he had nothing to loose at all in all this. The people might've believed him to be following orders because the ex-boss had me hostage and if he managed a few bruises and cuts, then he would really look like the victim instead of the oppressor. He looked back to the road and his eyes widened in shock before he swerved the car to the right and stepped on the brakes. I clutched the empty seat in front of me and managed not getting another bruise. The man coughed and glared outside the window, I glanced out and a hopeful smile immediately took over my face as I spotted another car that had come to stop barely a few feet from ours.Edward stepped out as my father-in-law yanked me out of the back. The gun pressed tightly against my waist in case I tried to make a run or in case help had arrived. My eyes widened in shock as the drivers door burst open and Julian stepped out. His suit coat was messed

"Press it to his wound and apply pressure on it. Keep your eyes open." Edward said.I nodded following his instructions, noticing the eye roll Julian had done at the order he received. The car purred to life and I sat beside Julian as he laid on the seat. My knees were pressed to the bottom of the car as I held the cloth there. His hand crawled to mine and held it in his. A satisfied smile taking over his face as he closed his eyes."Stay up." Julian said.I choked out, he gave a small nod peeking through his eyelashes to smile at me. Ducking my head, I forced my mind off of his slightly dropping lids and prayed. Please Lord, you didn't kill him then, please don't kill him now. Please, he's the only one I rely on, don't take him away too. I love him more than anything, he's the strength I needed, without him I won~ can't hold on.
