CHAPTER 21: I THINK WE ARE FATED
At the hunter's house, Marissa had ordered the members of the hunter community to train vigorously because it was time to launch an attack on the vampire castle. Locking her arms behind her back, she stood in front of the hunter's house, watching different vehicles move past the premises. Headlights flashing. Cars honking. Threads of her hair flew with the wind, her thoughts were buried deep in Vadim. She couldn't deny the fact that the vampire king possessed a weapon that could destroy her permanently. The immortal dagger was a weapon created from magic to get rid of vampire hunters and huntresses. She hoped that with the help of the O'Connor brothers and the hunter community, they would conquer all the vampires in that hidden castle and return victoriously. “Hey. Is it the right time for us to talk?” Lane hopped in standing next to her.“I'm thinking about the mission.” Marissa folded her hands and flashed a smile. “We are going to win. We don't have a choice,” Lane encouraged know

CHAPTER 22: KILLING THE VAMPIRE KING
Cuddling herself in the dining room, she placed her hands on the wooden table before scanning through the kitchen. Hearing footsteps, she flinched thinking that it would be Darius who must have come to murder her in the middle of the night or apologize and begin to profess his love for her. Gazing at the door, she met Selena who was stepping into the kitchen half awake. “I guess you are feeling sleepless.” Selena affirmed yawning and stretching her body with her hands in the air as she proceeded toward the fridge. Lynette was sure that she heard some bones crack.“Yes. I can't sleep.” Lynette shrugged, brushing off the thoughts of concern she was feeling for Darius.“You have to go back to bed and sleep. I need a lot of blood for tomorrow. I have to help Aiden and I promise I won't let anything happen to him.” Selena vowed. “I should be worried about you. I thought you came to ruin my life, but I can call you a friend because you made me understand what I needed.” Lynette asserted an

CHAPTER 23: SLAIN BY A VAMPIRE
Hadrian breathed heavily as his eyes flashed, and his hands glowed. He roared as he struck his hands on the ground and his powers dispersed through the great hall in the form of cracks and slight little piercings of light causing all the vampires that surrounded them to explode in flames. He said a spell and the door got sealed with his magic. Turning toward Vadim, he smirked as he opened a portal that led to the O'Connor mansion motioning Beckham to use it. Beckham jumped in, dropping Nina's feeble body on the couch before using the portal to return to the great hall.“I see how powerful you are, Grayson warlock.” Vadim smirked. “Beckham and Hadrian. I think you should help the hunters while I and Aiden will take care of Vadim.” Marissa smirked, pulling out her sword. It was going to be one hell of a fight. Hadrian dropped the barrier spell before Beckham exited the great hall with vampire speed, he followed suit before raising the barrier again. Aiden waddled toward Silas while Mari

CHAPTER 24: THE PATH TO PEACE
Colby laid Aiden on the couch. The house was silent. He guessed that Amaya must have taken Nina back home since he couldn't find them. As he cut through Aiden's chest with a knife, he put two of his fingers when he saw one of the bullets and he pulled it out. He examined if there were any pieces of wood left in there and he pulled them out. Hadrian, Elijah, and Darius appeared from a portal. “What happened?” Hadrian muttered as he rushed toward him.“He was shot by wooden bullets. I managed to pull one out, but there are two of them left.” Colby panicked. “Don't worry. He'd wake up.” Darius promised before he zoomed away. Dying was the best option for him because he would have Lynette all to himself. “If he has some bullets in there. I don't think he will wake up. I can use my magic, but it might put him in a deep state of sleep. It might take days before he wakes up.” Hadrian told him reading the ‘go head’ look on his face. “Do it!” Colby said anxiously, it was his best chance. Ai

CHAPTER 25: CORNELL
It's a good day. Lynette was nodding her head while listening to the music from her headphones. It was 5 am and she was preparing breakfast because her week off was over and she was resuming today. She put six plates on the counter before her gaze met Aiden who was leaning on the door frame and staring at her. She debated how long he had been standing there and she let out a long sigh as a smile flashed across her lips.“Good morning!” Lynette said before pulling off her headphones and dropping them on the counter. She stepped toward him and kissed him, putting her hands around his neck as they ambled to the counter without breaking apart, smooching each other, adeptly and wildly. She moaned as he gently put her atop the counter and moved his hands through her chest reaching for her hard nipples while she bucked herself closer to him.“Morning.” He answered when he pulled away and all the tickling she felt when he was holding him evaporated into the air. “How are you feeling?” She as

CHAPTER 26: THE AUGUST WITCH
“We didn't kill all the vampires in that castle. They have come for revenge,” Lane glowered. “Perhaps, one of your brothers was feeding on those humans and disposing of them in the woods. I heard you are the malevolent one. We have found another body, a man and he has no memory of how he got there. Your brother compelled me to keep your secret at the expense of feeding on humans.” He emphasized following Darius into the living room. He might have worked with the O'Connor brothers while defeating Vadim, but he didn't want to start a new hunter community because of them. “Neither I nor my brothers are responsible for the sudden disappearance of people. We have blood bags stocked in the basement,” Darius hollered. Their piercing gaze struck each other. “My brother saved your daughter.”“Don't use that as an excuse. You almost took her life and you never apologized for that. I don't trust you.” Lane muttered as he felt frail. He loathed feeling languid, all he wanted was to protect this t

BRADVILLE. Leaning on the counter, Darius snapped his finger and the bartender who was standing at the end of the counter moved toward him. “Hello there.” He said as he gawked at him. “Beer.” Darius sighed as he placed his hands on the counter. The bartender smiled at him as he moved a few steps away, returning with the bottle of beer. Darius heard footsteps approaching behind him. He turned and saw the elegant lady sauntering toward him. He smirked at her as she smiled revealing her dimples as she stood next to him. “Hey.” She blew air out of her lungs. “I'm Darius.” “Right. Nice to meet you, I'm Simone.” She said extending her hand for a shake and he accepted it graciously. Darius pulled closer to her and looked into her eyes. She wondered why he wanted to be so close and she stepped backward, he pulled her toward him and looked into her eyes. “I want to show you, Arcadia Falls.” Darius compelled. She nodded, flashing a smile as she moved strands of her rusty hair behind her e

CHAPTER 28: THE MONSTER I USED TO BE
“What are you doing here?” A voice echoed. Looking over his shoulder, he saw who he was searching for. Struggling to get on his feet and get rid of the voices in his head, he groaned as the man who was stepping toward him snapped his fingers and the voices disappeared. Feeling better, he wheezed and stood on his feet before he strode toward him. “We don't have much time.” Demetrius muttered. “I know because I came for something very important.” His voice rose. “What do you want from me warlock?” He smirked. “A Hellion is kidnapping people in Arcadia Falls. I know a little legend and history about your family. You were the first humans to handle the ancestral blade and I need to find it because it's the only way I can kill that unwholesome creature.” Hadrian emphasized. “The blades were destroyed...but one was hidden.” Demetrius informed him. “I don't need you to tell me how it was lost. I just need you to give me a hint so I can find one of your descendants.” Hadrian clarified ta

CHAPTER 29: MY SIRE
“We just killed that woman.” Simone barked, pulling Darius who wasn't interested in what she was saying backward. “She was an imminence to our existence. That's the fun of being a vampire, getting rid of whoever threatens your existence.” Darius roared glaring at her and she let him go.“And you decided to take her life. Why?” She said with watery eyes.“Because I'm a ruthless vampire. I'm a monster.” She could read the abhorrence in his eyes as he pronounced those words. “This isn't you.” Simone shook her head in regret. “You don't know anything about me, Simone! I turned you into a vampire and you should be glad that I saved your ass.” Darius seized her neck, thrusting her to the nearest tree. Silas folded his arms watching the drama. She groaned. How would she cope with her new situation? If Darius had killed her that night without feeding her his blood, things would have turned out to be better and now she was a walking corpse without a heartbeat. Lifeless. Rejected. Forgott

CHAPTER 30: BLOOD LUST
Lane stood arms akimbo as her body was taken into the ambulance with a stretcher. Blue and red lights were flashing across the woods, illuminating the clearing around the cottage. Other cops who had arrived were investigating the crime scene. Lane watched as one of the officers approached him. Stars were twinkling across the sky, the crescent moon didn't give off much light, but it narrowly bathed the woods through the slight little piercing of the leaves. Holding firm to a flashlight, Lane sighed. Amber Hudson was one of his greatest partners and she lost her life to a vampire. “What happened?” “She called me earlier today. She said that she apprehended three vampires. I got here and I found her dead,” Lane uttered in dismay. “She was attacked, you saw the bite marks on her neck, but I was too late to help her.” “I'm sorry. It must be hard to accept that you lost such a great partner.” He apologized before walking away.“You are welcome,” Wiping the tears that were clouding the cor
