Rishi’s POV Inhaling a fresh breath of air I gazed through the window feeling the growing intense excitement within me. I don’t know if it’s the liveliness of the view that I'm getting to see through the window or the knowing feel of going to meet the love of my life after a long time that filled me with contentment. By staying a long time, I meant fifteen days. The last time I met her was fifteen days ago. The last two years of spending hours neck deep in the books held me in good stead, as I managed to score some good numbers in the finals. Studying wasn’t my thing at all but I had to because Anu wanted me to. She wanted me to focus on study and do well in exams and be serious about my career so I did. To have the kind of future with her that I've been imagining since I saw her for the first time, I need to take my life seriously and act on it. The good old days of roaming around college without being worried of anything were finally coming to an end. Crazy stupid friend

Anu’s POV “ No, Sid…i won’t be able to join the party…you carry on with your friends “ I said pressing the 4rth floor button as soon as I stepped inside the elevator. “ oh C'mon ... .it will be fun Anu “ Sid stood beside me, trying to convince me to attend the party he’s hosting tonight. Sid is my colligue come friend, and the only person in the office with whom I can really connect because he’s the only Tamil guy in the office apart from me. In the initial stage of shifting to Mumbai from Chennai I was a bit unknown of the locations, plus every random person I saw would always be in a rush for something or to reach somewhere. The city is always rushing for what I don't know but somehow I got used to it. Unlike me, Sid is a Mumbaikar from birth as his parents got settled here long ago so being born and brought up in mumbai, Sid knows the life hacks of mumbai more than me. To be particular, it was one of the reasons for bonding with him. I was new, and didn’t know the transpor

Author’s POV The sun shone goldenly, spreading its soft amber shade rays turning the city streets into one of the famous canvases of Ram Kumar . As the birds cheerfully encouraged the winds to blow in its rhythm while the sky was being painted by the sun which was preparing to hide behind the bushy soft candy like clouds. Inhaling the freshness of breeze Anu walked on the street gazing around the unoccupied place which usually isn’t this empty. It’s Saturday late in the afternoon as Anu walks in the street that ends near her apartment. Carrying her office bag in right hand, her left hand was holding the grocery bag which she shopped on the way back home from the office. The street was quiet, calm and hardly any vehicles passed and that felt so unreal to her because in these few months of shifting and staying in Mumbai she never saw the streets of Mumbai this calm and empty. It’s always active for some reason and she already started to miss her hometown. Mumbai is a city of rush a

Author’s POV “Why wouldn't she text me ? it’s been twenty one days already “ muttered Rishi who was hopelessly staring at her recent social media post. Checking on her via social media has become one of his frequent acts nowadays. It’s been many days since he received any text or call, the last text he got from her was twenty days ago when he returned to bangalore and she texted him to ask if he reached safely. Once he replied with assurance that he is back home safe and sound, the text ended with awkward silence between them leaving no choice for him to know whether she is doing fine or not. But at the same time he couldn’t just stay still, he needed to know if she is safe

Author’s POV “ What do you want now ? '' Anu fumed in anger, glaring at Rishi, who was seated across from her on the couch in the hall. It’s been a few minutes since Masha called him in after convincing Anu for this. Since Anbu didn’t want to be an awkward and unwanted part of this conversation between Rishi and Anu, she assured him that she will wait in his car till he is done. Masha had taken Ria to upstairs before calling him inside the house as per Anu’s demand. Anu didn’t want Ria to know about Rishi. Meanwhile Rishi took a brief moment to examine his surroundings. He could say that she had maintained the home well and tidy but what surprised him was those brown carton boxes which were placed here and there in different sizes, some packed and some half packed. Leaving the furniture, other things seemed already packed and ready to be moved. He realised that she is in the process of shifting to somewhere else, but he won’t dare to ask her about it. Anu’s eyes reflected th

Throughout the function Anbu was standing on the edge of walking to her room and throwing herself on the bed to take a nap. These Marriage things seemed exciting and interesting only when she wasn’t the actual bride. Exhausted, sleep deprived and tired are the words that can describe her current status. The happiness of marrying the man she loves is one side, but the tiresome they have to go through to marry each other seemed tiring that in middle of rituals she had this urge to get up and scream that she doesn’t wants a grand marriage anymore and would just have register marriage instead but she also couldn’t say that as her other side badly wants this grand marriage.
