He’s always honest to her and says the truth whether it’d hurt her or not. This was one of those truth that’d hurt her. She ran her fingers through her hair and clenched it. “No, he didn’t do that. He wasn’t the one that vandalize my home. It’s not true, right mom?” She looks over to her mother and the look on her face says it all. “I thought Kendrix told you Blake was the one that broke in with some other unknown men and destroyed our farms. That boy is good for nothing. I’m glad you didn’t end up with him.” Anakin shakes his head in distress. Aurora stared at the blank space. She doesn’t even know how to digest this news in her head. “Aurora, we need to talk.” She threw her head back and laughed in disbelief. She should be the one saying those words to him but here he was standing as though he’s the victim. Looking at him in the eye made her feel more repelled than she already was with him. She’s not even angry—she’s disillusioned of how she really had hope on him. She almost thought he was different. “Oh yes, we do, because I need to know why you didn’t tell me he came here looking for me since I moved. And why you made him lose his job, his family.”Kendrix looked at her quizzically. She scoffed, rolling her eyes because it seemed like he was about to deny everything she just said. “His job? His family? What are you talking about…”She cuts him short. “Don’t act innocuous, Kendrix. You are not innocent. You never were…”“You need to calm down, Aurora. He’s just trying to get into your head,” he said, taking careful steps towards her. “You’re angry right now I know. But just calm down and I will explain everyt

She was moving back to Scuris pack today and try to forget Kendrix ever existed despite how hard that is. The first step to forgetting him is leaving where she’d see him every day. It’s crazy how you’d talk to someone every day, share everything, get into each other’s space just so one day you’d wake up and not even spare each other a glance. Her heart began racing the moment the car pulled into the parking lot. She could see an airplane landing and dropping off passengers. Maybe that was her plane, she thought, hurrying inside the building and gripping onto her suitcase. “Slow down, Aurora. I haven’t even hugged you goodbye.” Azzura hurriedly went after her. Aurora could swear she had forgotten her parents came with her. She halts and turned around to look at them. She was too jumpy and paranoid to even focus on the things around her. This was her first time traveling, her first time being on a plane, her first time interacting with outcasts alone and her first time staying far away from home. She felt overwhelmed by just staring at them for the last time. “I’m really going to miss you guys,” She mutters and engulfed them both in a nice hug. They both squeezed her, making her to giggle at the pressure. “Don’t you dare get pregnant, Aurora,” Azzura proclaimed, sniffing away the tears that were already gushing out. Aur

She’s been awake for more than an hour but couldn’t find the strength to get out of bed. She couldn’t even take off the itchy jeans she slept off in. Somehow, her eyes were glued to the globe chandelier as she hugged a pillow to her chest. This sluggishness and impediment were because of Kendrix abrupt text message. She never knew how affected she’d be with just a simple text. It’s just a text—she keeps telling her mind. If it was just a text, why can’t she get up on freshen up? Why can’t she unpack? Why can’t she even get up and go check on breakfast? She sighs and toss the pillow across the bed as she rolled to her side. Her eyes caught sight of her phone lying on the side drawer. She groans softly and closed her eyes. If not because she needed that phone, she would’ve thrown it away because that phone alone reminds her of Kendrix. He bought it for her just few weeks before she moved to his pack. Now she was left with his mocking memories. She heard a door open and she knew it w

She took a right turn and walked down the pavement. She could see the lights blooming from the café. She exhales deeply as she shoved her hands into her jacket pockets. This was the first time she was going out alone ever since she moved her. She always goes out together with Max even if they were just going down to the lobby. He insisted in accompanying her but she politely rejected. She wanted to get used to going out alone if she was going to start working. She can’t have him waking up by 7am just to take her to work while it as just a block away from their apartment. She stood in front of the café window, and looked through it. It’s few minutes past 8 but it still seems busy. Ryan was talking to a girl as he hands her, her coffee. She laughed at something he said and placed her hand on his shoulder. He gave her a tight lip smile as he shrugged her hand off him before he turned to leave. Aurora’s stomach churned as she smiled. Why was she happy that he just shunned another girl?

“Here’s your Macchiato, hope you enjoy it.” That was her tenth order she had given out on her first day. It was almost noon, which meant it was almost her break time. She enjoyed every bit of her work, except the part where she has to stand for hours, taking orders and making it. She loves the light pink colour shirt uniform with the grew P-cap that matched her hair. It was barely visible to people—it meant no one would nag her about her hair except she takes her hat off. Aurora heaved a sigh, leaning her waist on the counter as she scanned around the room. It was Monday, the busiest day of the café and it meant people were piled up, placing orders and having their breakfast before work. Brooke leaned beside her. “How are you holding up?” She asked and nudged Aurora’s shoulder. Aurora looked at her and chuckled softly. “Better than I expected.”Ryan walked out of his office, answering a call. He looks at her and nodded, smiling before looking away and heading out of the café. That m
