Chapter 51
Eleanor: “Did Killian just slam the door shut?” I asked, frowning in confusion. “I assume that the two of you are now on a first name basis.” Natasha teased, making my cheeks redden. “I am guessing that you being an Alpha born does have its perks.” “Hell, more than anything.” I said, and she frowned. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean…” “I am the one who should apologize, and not you, El.” She said, stopping me. I smiled and shook my head at the woman before wrapping my arms around her as I pulled her in for a hug. It wasn’t something that I should be blaming her for. If anything, I knew that her situation was no better than mine, to some extent at least. The woman was somehow saved, but I knew that it was a scar that no one forgot. And no matter how old they were, the pain always stuck. “I am guessing that one never really knows what goes on behind closed doors, does he?” “Well, everyone technically knew that I was being abused. It was just that no one really reacted to it. The first per

Chapter 52
Killian: “I am going to ask you this question once, Daria, and I expect an answer,” I said, holding the woman against the wall as she glared at me. “What the fuck are you doing here?” The fact that she was here right now was a risk itself, and though I knew that she was the one person who was well aware of the entrances and exits of the Estate, I couldn’t help but wonder how she got in here and when she did. The idea of Eleanor finding out about her in my room was not something that I wanted. It wasn’t the fact that I was doing something wrong, but it was the fact that I didn’t want to push her away by letting her think that I might have someone in my life when I wanted nothing more than to be with her and her alone. However, at this point, that was something that I had to think of later. What mattered now was the main motive behind what this woman was up to, and judging by her expression, I could tell that she wasn’t here for a shot of vodka. “I heard that you have a woman over, a

Chapter 53
Eleanor: “Who is that woman?” I asked Natasha whose eyes were fixed on the door for a few seconds. Her heart raced against her ribcage, and I couldn’t help but find myself feeling something that I never felt before. It was anger, pain, and a clench in my chest that I never knew possible. Needless to say, I couldn’t tell whether it was rage that I was feeling or it was just genuine pain. “Her name is Daria.” “I picked that up,” I said, looking down at my lap. I knew that I shouldn’t be rude to Natasha, it wasn’t her fault anyway, but I couldn’t help but find myself aching at the idea of someone else claiming my mate. The last thing that I wanted was to end up losing Killian, especially when I knew that I was opening up to him. “She is his ex-girlfriend. And though I don’t know what she is doing here, I know two things; Killian wouldn’t have let her inside his room, and she is up to no good.” I scoffed and shook my head at her words. Her eyes met mine and she frowned in confusion.

Chapter 54
Killian: “I will take over things right now, boss.” Inna said, and I nodded. “Let me know if you get anything, and if she chooses to give you a hard time, use your methods.” I said, looking at Inna who nodded. “And I want her alive when I am back. Only when she starts begging for it would we be punishing her for killing my men the way that she did. I looked at Daria who was waking up for a few seconds before walking back to the suit where my mate sat with Natasha. I knew that she was in pain, and judging by her conversation with Natasha, I knew that she was going through more conflict than she could handle. The pain that she was going through was one that I didn’t want her to be dealing with, and the fact that I was the cause of it, even if it was unintentionally, when I knew how fragile she was tore me apart. Her eyes were fixed on mine as I entered the room, and I couldn’t help but find myself aching at the fact that she was avoiding my eyes as if feeling anything toward the sit

Chapter 55
Eleanor: “What does that woman want anyway?” I asked Killian who was laying on my bed. I lay on his chest as he wrapped one arm around me, holding me closer to him. “I still don’t know, we are going to find out though. But I don’t want you to think about it.” He said, and I raised myself to look at him. “You know that I can’t help it, and that is why, I will.” I said, and he smiled before cupping my cheeks. He pulled me in for a kiss, and I couldn’t help but purr as he did. He pulled away and purred back, making my cheeks redden as he pulled me in for a hug. I lay my head on the crook of his neck, inhaling his scent, growing more attached to him by the second as I did. “You know, I never did take you for a jealous mate, but I have to admit, I can’t help but find myself liking it.” He said, making my eyes widen before I pulled away to look him in the eye. “It shows me that you really do feel something for me.” “You know for fact that I do, and…” “Not what I meant, malyshka.”

Chapter 56
Killian: “Anything from her?” I asked, entering the basement. Eleanor has finally managed to get some shuteye, and though I didn’t want to leave her, I knew that I had to check on whatever they might have found out from Daria. “A few curse words here and there, but it stayed there. The woman is tough as hell,” Inna said, and I nodded before taking a deep breath. I didn’t want to be the one to harm her. If anything, I knew that I would be affecting her most if I did, and I wasn’t one who liked to show my strength to someone who I knew would be physically weaker than I was. But then again, the woman did kill my men… “I take it that you’re letting go of your morals?” Daria asked, taking sight of me as I ran my finger over one of the daggers. It was a present from her years ago, and though she cheated, and we broke up, I never really had the heart to get rid of it. I knew that it was a valuable present from her, and that was why I was sure to keep it safe with everything that I had. “

Chapter 57
Eleanor: “Hey,” Natasha said, entering my room. I smiled and turned to face her, putting my earrings on as I did. “Hi,” I walked toward her and wrapped my arms around the woman, pulling her into a hug. She hugged me back with the same fever before pulling away to look me in the eye. “I can assume that this was not a normal ‘good morning’ hug.” She said, and I laughed. “It was a thank you hug, for what you did for me yesterday.” I said, and she smiled. “I don’t know what I would have been able to do if not for you and what you did, but thank you so much.” “I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary, Eleanor.” She said, making my heart swell. “You are my sister and friend. And I was not blessed with having many that stayed around long enough to prove worth the friendship.” “I didn’t stay for long, and you seem to find me a good friend.” I said, and she smiled before nodding at me to come with her. The two of us walked out of the room and she looped her arm with mine. “That is be

Chapter 58
Killian: I walked inside the basement to find Daria’s eyes wide in surprise at the sight of her ‘friend’. Her heart raced, and I raised an eyebrow before glaring at Torino. His eyes avoided mine, not that he had another choice, I was sure to crack his neck to the point where he would be paralyzed if I ever let him live. I wasn’t going to, but that didn’t mean that I had to give him an easy death. “I take it that you know now how much my mate means to me.” I said, glaring daggers at the woman. Daria gulped, and I rolled my eyes before snapping Torino’s neck. Daria screamed before looking at me and shaking her head. “And I think that you know that you are next.” “I came here to get help…” “You should have thought of that before dragging my mate into this.” I said, grabbing the dagger that she gave me. Never did I think that I would be using it on her. However, it seemed to me that time had its surprises to us all. I walked behind her and her heart raced. She shook her head, but I

Chapter 59
Eleanor: My heart raced as I heard Killian knocking on my bedroom door. The fear that I had that he would still be angry with me was one that I wasn’t going to deny. I wouldn’t be able to if I tried. I got up from bed just as he opened the door, clearly knowing that I wasn’t planning on answering. My chest ached and my heart raced as I found myself thinking of how things were between me and Elton. I couldn’t help it, but the fact that I was comparing the two of them was not something that I could deny. The man would often snap at me before entering my room later on the same evening to ‘punish’ me the way that he saw fit. And that was something that I was always afraid of. Killian walked toward me, and I looked up at him, forcing myself to process that it was Killian and that no matter how angry he might be, that I was safe. He didn’t say a word before he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a hug. I found myself tearing up as I inhaled his scent, fisting his shirt as I m

Chapter 60
Killian: “It’s a full moon tomorrow.” Eleanor said, laying on my chest. I smiled and tightened my arms around her before kissing the crown of her head. “A full moon that would be filled with pain,” I said, and she shook her head in question. “Natasha is grieving, and everything in the house is fumbled…” “And you are in pain,” she said, stopping me. I looked down at her and she turned around to face me. Her eyes were gentle as she looked into mine, and I looked away, wanting to avoid hers. The fact that I knew that this was wrong was not something that I was going to deny. But something in me broke today, and I don’t even know I managed to do it with no remorse. “It’s okay to be in pain, Killian. I won’t judge.” “It’s not that, Eleanor…” “It’s the fact that she was your lover.” She said, and I frowned. She gently put her hands on my cheeks, cupping them before making me look at her. “It is okay to be hurt over a person that you love, Killian. I am not going to be angry because of i
