Summer's POV. Standing in the kitchen and trying to prepare the right breakfast for my kids and Jordan, I found myself wondering and thinking about no one else than Alpha Alexander. It's been almost a week and he hasn't been here for us yet. It made me wonder if he actually loved me too. I know I had pushed him away but then, I missed him, no doubt. My eyes and focus were on the meal I was preparing for the kids and Jordan when at that moment, their soft giggle pulled me out of trance. Lifting my eyes to look out of the window, I found them playing like never before. They were happy, they were glad to be with Jordan and I could see it.They missed him so much and I bet they needed time to stay with him. "It's best this way right? It's best I train them this way!" I mumbled to myself as I kept staring at them while they played on and on.A smile erupted on my lips too as I watched them turn to look at my direction and wave their hands to me with joy written all over their faces.

Summer's POV. "Hello Mate!!!" He smiled so brightly that it made me look at him with a shocking expression on my face. Standing before me was no one else other than Alpha Alexander. The one Alpha whom I never planned to see on a day like this. Several questions lingered in my mind as I stared at him, blankly. He wasn't aware of where Jordan was living until now so it made me wonder who must have told him. I wished to hug him too but then, I just had to act all tough without letting him know that I missed him so much. "What are you doing here?" I questioned with a deep voice as I glared at him."Come on, Kitten, don't tell me that you didn't miss me even if it is a single second. You…" he was going to reach for me but then, I took a step backwards, trying to make him not reach me. And the second I stepped backwards, that was when Jordan got the alert to come to the door. I bet he must have wondered why I was standing at the door for so long. "Summer who is…" he was going to ask

Summer's POV. "Anyone can make them happy Summer and you know it! I'm certain you are aware of the pain he has brought to you!" Jordan snapped as he stated. I was going to wave off his words and not think about any of it but then, I just couldn't sit still and watch him make such a statement. I needed clarifications, I needed to understand his words more and there was no way I could understand him if I didn't ask. "And what is that supposed to mean?" I questioned, my eyes squinting as I stared at him. He paused for a second before opening up finally, his voice carrying a sense of urgency and boldness. "I love you, Summer and I want to be the one your heart races for! I want to be the father of Jayden, Jason and Kayden! Please!"He blurted out his confession, his eyes becoming soft as he calmed down a bit and sat down closer to where I was sitting. His eyes buried deep into mine as he sat so close to me. His hands just then reached for mine and with a deliberate move, he pulled

Alexander's POV. Sitting in my office right behind my desk, I couldn't help but smile endlessly as I thought about nothing but Summer in my arms all night. The scene of her smiling and thanking me so much for saving and helping her mother couldn't just leave my mind. At this point, I was going to take care of her, I swore to protect her with my whole being without letting go or leaving her for anyone and that included Jordan. I believed that whatever Jordan could do, I definitely could do it more or perfectly as the saying goes. "Oh, Summer, my dear… I can't wait to hold you against my skin tonight!" I chuckled softly like I was talking to someone in my office. It was possible to get an imaginary friend at this point but I wasn't going to care so long as I had Summer to myself and for myself. I rubbed the edges of my lips with my thumb and a crazy desire surged within me. It was the desire to go to her office and get her. But that wouldn't be appropriate, would it? I thought I

Alexander's POV. "What do I do now? How am I expected to save my mate now?" I pondered Inwardly as my gaze left that of the doctor and darted to the ground. I felt so mad at myself for being just so incapable of helping my mate in her time of need. "Alpha Alexander?" The doctor's voice pierced through my thoughts and just then, I lifted my gaze to meet his. "We have to give it to her soon or else she'll be dead and…" he was going to keep talking but just then, rage swirled within me and I couldn't contain my anger. With a deliberate move, I grabbed his collar and pulled him closer to my face, my glare fixed deep into his eyes. "Alpha…" he struggled to speak seeing how tight my grip on his collar was. He had caused it for himself and he was paying for his crimes of misuse of words."No matter what you do, never…" read my lips… "Never you ever call my mate a dead omega. Is that clear?" I snarled, awaiting a response from him. "Yes… yes, Alpha Alexander!" He nodded repeatedly with

Alexander's POV. "The Luna?" I scoffed as I stood to my feet, diverting my gaze away from her before turning it back. "I'd rather die than watch you become the Pack's Luna!" I asserted before I turned on my heels and intended to leave the house. Seeing that Jackson didn't surface, it was obvious that he wasn't at home and I understood that part so well. I was about to get out of their house when just then, Ava's voice pierced through my thoughts, halting me to a stop."Will you watch your Luna exit before you see the writing on the wall, Alexander?" She snarled as she stood to her feet. She wanted me to let her have the place of the Luna but that was never going to happen. Not when she was the one who had always plotted evil against Summer. "My mate won't die…I promised her that, Ava!" I declared before walking out of the house and heading for my car. I bet she was going to be disappointed that I didn't give in to her trick but then, that was the best for both my boys and me.

Alexander's POV. "Stop it, Alex!!! We are doing this for her!" My father said from behind me making me feel sad even more. I didn't want to lose him at least not yet we were just getting to know each other. He could see the pain in my eyes and without hesitation, he rushed towards me and pulled me into a tight embrace. "I promise to make it out alive for you, Alex!" He assured, my arms wrapping around his body and becoming tighter as tears rolled down from my eyes. I loved him so much and death was never an option at least for now. "I promise, Kiddo!" He pulled out from the embrace and with one last stare, he walked passed me and headed for room where he'd give up his beed. The second the door to the room got shut, I felt nothing but a raging storm of fear and panic coursing through my nerves. I needed my father alive and I needed my mate alive too. I sat down on the bench that was in the hallway but my thoughts scattered around. I just prayed silently for the best. The hospit

Alexander's POV. "What's happening? Why are you staring this way? Why are you shaking your head? Speak to me, doctor!!!?" I bellowed, my hands trembling as they rested on my father's body. "The Alpha is dead… Alpha Alexander!" *****"The doctor's words kept reverberating through my thoughts as I sat down on my bed in my room. I just couldn't get it out. I couldn't seem to forget anything about the day my father died. He was the best Alpha in the end. He kept his promises and he walked out of the room alive but he didn't live long to enjoy the fruit of what he had laboured for. Almost all my life, I had tagged him as the bad person, as the bad and ruthless Father. Little did I know and understand that he wasn't being that way because of his choice, he just needed me to be strong.Tears cascaded down my face as I stared blankly at his jacket that was placed before me. It would be used for his funeral because it was the last clothing he had on his deathbed. "I miss you so much, Fa

Summer's POV.Gazing at the room, I felt nothing but pain, regrets, and emptiness. I was just so sad knowing that the one man whom Alpha Alexander loved so much and cared about was dead, and it was all my fault.I caused it. I caused him to die. The memories of that day came back to my mind, and I couldn't help but remember how he had fallen to the ground and stopped breathing.I had run out of my sick bed to see why Alpha Alexander was screaming and how the doctor pronounced Alpha Hale a dead Alpha."I caused it all... I was just a beast, as Ava said!" Tears began to trickle from my eyes as they trailed down my pale-looking cheeks."I'm sorry, Alpha Hale!" I cried so hard as I tightened my grip on the bed sheets placed on my bed.My bags were already packed up, and I was ready to leave, but then, what if Alpha Alexander wouldn't want to see me? What if everyone in the mansion never wanted to lay their eyes on me again?I wished for a second that I had just died instead of taking Alph

Alexander's POV.I kept hearing noises from outside my room, and at that point, I couldn't help but leave my room. It was obvious that Summer was the one facing the humiliation, and Ava was behind it.I walked out of my room, and standing before me was Ava with her hands lifted to the air, ready to hit my mate.My rage boiled, and I couldn't help but tighten my fist in anger. Ava was crossing the line."Let my mate go!!!" I commanded, and at that moment, Ava's hand was hanging in the air.She dared not hit Summer before me, not when she knew what she had done to her and my father.I walked over to where Summer and my boys were standing, and for the first time in days, I was happy to see Summer."Alpha Alexander!" She exclaimed as she rushed towards where I was standing and embraced me tightly. She had obviously cussed herself for my father's death, and I wouldn't blame her for doing so.In her embrace, I found peace, and joy enveloped me as I held her close to my body. Her scent waf
