Just like that, examinations were over and the university was about to close for the winter break. However, before that could happen, Shane realised that the big day was still coming up. The day of the talent competition had arrived, and the students were buzzing with excitement at the prospect of it. Many of the students, as well as Shane, signed up for it already, so their nerves were starting to get the best of them. The morning of the competition, Shane looked at himself in his bathroom mirror. He felt a lump form in his throat. The day was finally here. He had to go on stage and perform in front of thousands of students. He wondered that since it had come to this, would he be able to go through with it? He received a text message on his phone which informed him about the time and place he should be as well as when it was his turn to perform. He took out his guitar and played 'The First Dance' for the last time in the comfort of his own room. He felt emotions wash over him as he s
