HUNTER'S POV  

I was in the dining room of my house, staring at Hunter with a mix of shock and disbelief. Just moments ago, he had revealed that I was chosen as his Luna by the Moon Goddess, a truth I had been waiting for six long years, since that fateful coronation ceremony. However, the revelation was wrapped in an even more painful plot: Hunter lied and chose Zora, the daughter of Alpha King Garnet. 

My intervention cut through the heavy air: “Well, I think we better start eating before the food gets cold.”As we sat down to share the meal, silence prevailed. My eyes were fixed on the food in front of me, but my mind was restless. Hunter, beside me, remained reserved, watching with keen eyes every gesture around the table.Caleb glanced at both of us with an enigmatic smile, breaking the silence. “Life is truly full of surprises, isn't it?”Looks exchanged between Hunter and me, both curious about what Caleb had in mind. The road stretched ahead as Ignis drove towards Seattle, fulfilling the agreement made with the boys. The gentle hum of the engine filled the car's interior, and occasional silence was interrupted only by Kane's soft snoring, deeply asleep in the back seat. Dorian, resting on Cassian's shoulder, was on the verge of succumbing to sleep, while Cassian resisted, staying alert. Skepticism regarding Ignis' intentions still hung in the air, like a dark cloud on a starry night. Ignis glanced at Cassian through the rearview mirror and broke the silence. “You can sleep if you want, Cassian.” Cassian, with his cautious demeanor, replied, “I'm not sleepy.” Ignis smiled, observing the dynamics between the brothers. “Doesn't seem like you're wide awake.” Cassian sighed, finally giving in. “I'm a bit tired, that's all.” Ignis

The car cut through the deserted road, tearing through the night landscape as we headed to Cheyenne, Wyoming. I sat in the back seat, lost in thoughts about my missing children. Caleb was driving, and Hunter kept a vigilant eye on the road ahead, the heavy atmosphere punctuated only by the constant sound of tires on the road. Sensing the tension in the air, Caleb broke the silence, “You two are very quiet.” Hunter, straightforwardly, replied, “I'm focused on picking up the scent of the boys or Jeff.” Caleb tried to lighten the mood with a smile, “Doesn't seem like you're enjoying my company.” I remained silent, my mind consumed by worry and anxiety and time passed slowly as the darkness of the night unfolded before us. Caleb, noticing the seriousness on Hunter's face, tried to ease the tension, “I bet Jeff isn't around these parts.”
