Stay with me

The punches and kicks on the door made me freeze. I was terrified, feeling as if my feet were glued to the ground, and my entire body had been frozen.

"Come on, jump!" Ivy spoke nervously. "No need to be afraid; I'll catch you."

I heard the sound of the cabinet being dragged due to the force of the punches and kicks on the door. A crack opened, revealing enough space to see her wide, restless green eyes, as if she were about to attack.

My body snapped out of the trance as I saw her hand reaching through the crack, forcing the door open.

My heart raced as I finally gathered courage and leaped through the window, landing on the roof with a painful impact. The soft snow covered the roof, but my injured leg protested with every step I took.

With difficulty, I started walking on the slippery tiles, my breath forming small clouds of vapor. Ivy, below me, urged me to keep going.

"Violet, you can do it!" She whispered, her voice filled with anxiety.

In the midst of a shiver, I jumped off the
