Chapter Ten

No Escape:

He pushed open the pack house hall doors. He was beginning to hate that he accepted the invitation. Garold had reminded him several times that he needed to keep up with his relationships with the other packs. He should have sent him instead. Garold, being the beta of the Black Mountain Pack, stayed behind in case anything would happen. He had Skarde and Njar with him and that's all. Most Alpha’s traveled with guards and more pack members but not Arkyn. He didn't need anyone else. He himself could take down a small army, never mind the damage Skarde and Njar could inflict. He was greeted with silence, it made himself smile. The music was cut off and everyone stared at them as they entered.

“Ah warm invite as always.” Skarde smirked.

Njar just grunted looking out across the crowd. The grunt was quiet but it caused the crowd to shift back away from them more. Arkyn hated weak people, looking at them trying to hide. Where was the Alpha?
