CHAPTER 64

The thunderstorm grew heavier, the tapping sound of the raindrops on the window were so loud.

Jaden held the baton with a firm grip, his veins were already popping out from his hands.

The shadow moved towards the light switch, and Jaden moved forward but not very close, still trying to figure out who it was in the dark of the night.

The brightness from the light made Jaden look away and closed his eyes, he let out a groan as the light penetrated into his eyes.

A few seconds had already passed, before Jaden finally opened his eyes. His vision was still blurry, but he could see who the stranger was.

Jaden sighed and shook his head, he dropped the baton and ran his hands through his hair.

“Dad, really? I thought someone broke into the house. When did you get back?”

Mr Brooks chuckled and with his hands behind his back, he walked to where Jaden stood and placed his hand on his shoulder.
