Hazel’s POV

After the meal, I had been in my tent, trying my best to reconnect with my wolf but all my efforts turned out the same: futile and unyielding.

Every time I tried to concentrate, I could only hear a voice that told me that I needed to find the Amulet.

I had tried to shake it out of my mind but it persisted and continued to pull me in deeper. It was so persistent and sincere. Maybe I was going about this all wrong. Maybe it was my wolf telling me to find the Amulet. It had probably been telling me this the whole time except that I chose not to listen.

I stood up and made my decision. Alpha Draco was making the big mistake. We were supposed to be finding the Amulet. If you found it, we could harness its powers and bring an end to this war. We had to stop Ragnar at all costs and this probably was our only chance.
