“ Why would he…do something like this? ” I whisper to myself.

My eyes move to rest on Wolf’s. It seems too easy to look at him during this moment like nothing bad has happened between us.

“ That’s another long story. ” He sighs, leaning a little back in his chair.

My hands itch so I clench them harder.

“ Tell me. I want to know. ” I insist even if I can see something is stopping him from revealing everything to me.
