LAVINIA'S POV

A wet feeling on my face and body forced my eyes open. I gasped, the light nearly blinding me but I quickly shut back my eyes and slowly opened them again.

I took a look at myself, water had been poured on me and my clothes, which actually seemed to be rags, were soaked.

I traced my line of vision to the perpetrator and saw that he was a Vampire, he seemed oddly familiar. His skin was deathly pale just like the rest of them but he held a deep scowl and glared at me contemptuously.

"What the hell is wrong with you, wench? You've been sleeping for five days, how the hell am I supposed to sell you if people think you're dead!" He yelled at me and raised his foot. I thought he was going to kick me so I naturally shielded myself with my hands but rather I heard the clanging of metal. I opened my eyes in surprise and only then did I realize that I was in a cage.

I had been locked up in a life size rectangular cage, just like an animal.
