KLAY ROSE

I sat on the couch, my hands fidgeting with the hem of my shirt as I stared blankly at the wall. My mind was racing with thoughts of Rozen and the attack he faced. It was all because of me. My existence was putting him in danger, and I didn't know what to do.

Micah sat beside me, looking at me with a concerned expression. "Klay, are you okay?"

I shook my head, tears prickling at the corners of my eyes. "No, I'm not okay. Rozen is out there, hurt because of me. I just...I don't know what to do."

Micah put a comforting arm around me, pulling me close. "We'll figure something out, Klay. We always do."

I leaned into him, drawing comfort from his touch. "I just feel so helpless. I don't want Rozen to get hurt because of me."

"We'll protect him, Klay. We'll protect both of you."
