Chapter 55

ROZEN

I woke up to find myself chained to a wall. I couldn't move my arms or legs, and I had no idea how I got here. As I looked around, I realized that I was in a dimly lit room with only one small window that allowed a faint light to seep in.

Suddenly, the door creaked open and my father walked in, his eyes filled with anger and disappointment. I knew why he was here. He didn't want me to save Klay, the one person I loved more than anything in the world.

"Father, please let me go. I need to save her," I pleaded with him.

He just shook his head, "No, Rozen. You're too important to the pack. We can't risk losing you over a human."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My father, the one who taught me to be kind and compassionate, was willing to let Klay die just to protect the pack's interests.

"You don't understand, Father. Klay is different. She's not like other humans. She's my mate," I said, trying to make him understand the depth of my feelings for her.
