Just then, Justin and Isabella came back into the room. "It's all taken care of," Justin said, with a reassuring smile. "Are you ready to go?"

"Just a moment," Avery said, still feeling a little disoriented. But when she turned around, the man was already walking away, his broad shoulders visible through the doorway.

Avery felt a sudden pang of disappointment. She had wanted to say something, to connect with him in some way. But he was gone, and she was left with a feeling of curiosity.

"Who was that?" Justin asked, curious.

"Just some random guy," Avery said, trying to sound nonchalant. "He seemed interesting, that's all."

"Well, we'd better get going," Justin said, looking at his watch. "We need to get to the charity event early to help set up."

Avery nodded, forcing herself to focus on the task at hand. She couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that the man had disappeared so quickly.
