CH. 11 Jesse
Jesse's P.O.V. "Ms. Miles!" Sebastian had me snapping back from my thoughts.  "Sorry, Mr. Looms." Even though he's a family friend, at school he's Mr. Looms and only Mr. Looms. "What was the question?"  I heard some light giggling from some girls in the back. I turned, eyeing them furiously. I'll shove a damn shadow down their throats if they don't shut up soon.  "Which shadow order is the most powerful?"  "It's not written in the book, but ancient shadows are the strongest. After that, it is executive then official." I answered, having known this all my life.  "Good, now stay focused Ms. Miles." Sebastian warned me. I nodded my head in understanding.  This was a required course for all shadow weavers. Ares and Augustus took it last year already, so it was just me in here. No Damon, no brothe

Ch. 12 Ares
Ares' P.O.V. I need to find Jesse. That vision of her has me worried. Something is going on, or is about to happen. I need to help her. I need to let her know I am here for her. I shadow traveled to the dark purple building that housed us darker creatures. Sebastian was picking up around the room when I emerged. I looked around for Jesse, but it seemed she had already left.  "Hey, did you see where Jesse went off too?" I asked him, startling him a bit.  "For the shadows, Ares!" He scolded. "No, I don't know where she went. Maybe call her?"  He disappeared after that, leaving me in the room by myself.  'Where are you?' I shadow messaged her.  I gave her a few minutes, but she didn't respond. I began to worry, knowing she didn't have a class right now. What was she doing? What's being done

Ch. 13 Nova
Nova's P.O.V. All eyes were on our table. Sure I'd given them something to talk about with that fight earlier, but I didn't think they'd be openly gawking at us. I took a bite of my apple slowly, meeting everyone's eyes. They can stare if they want, but I'll stare right back at them. Most of them turned their attention away when I did.  "This is stupid. Why don't we just go eat somewhere else?" Auggie sounded frustrated.  He didn't like the negative attention. I'd beat his ass in front of a lot of people earlier. He was still coming to terms with that, not used to having his ass handed to him. He is very strong, it just so happens that I have the perfect counter to each of his elements. Dragon fire for his shadow and water for his phoenix.

Ch. 14 Jesse
Jesse's P.O.V.  I had invited Cas to eat lunch with me as a thank you for saving us. I told him it'd be my treat, whatever he wanted.  "What if I wanted your blood?" He asked.  "That's a fat no." I deadpanned and he laughed.  "I'm joking. I prefer something sweet anyway." He winked at me.  Cas was definitely a flirt. It had come out more after Ares left. I didn't mind the sweet attention he was giving me. In fact, I could really use it. Damon was still in the forefront of my mind with that stupid video. I know Ares can tell something is going on, as well, but thankfull

Ch.15 Augustus
Augustus' P.O.V.  So whatever is bothering Ares is because of Jesse. What did she get herself into now? I swear that girl is going to make me lose my mind with the amount of trouble she attracts.  I chewed on my cheek as I walked to Elle's room. I think that's her name. Fu.ck, why am I so bad with names? This is why I always call them beautiful or gorgeous. I can't remember anyone's name to save my life. Manny's name is engraved in my head because Nova wouldn't let me forget it. That's about the only name I've learned in this academy. The teachers are lucky I remember what to call them at all.  I reached her door, knocking lightly. I don't want to sound like I want to knock this door down for sex

Ch. 16 Ares
Ares' P.O.V.     I'd been scrambling to try and figure out what was happening to Jesse. I know it has something to do with Damon, from the vision I had. I know she doesn't want me to meddle, but knowing she's not okay is eating away at me. I wish she had been more open with me. I'm her brother, I'm here to help her.    She's like mom though, stubborn and proud. She won't ask for help. If I offer it, or advise her right now, she'd ignore me, or do the complete opposite of what I say. I sighed, sitting in the library. I was reading books about visions to see how to interpret them better.    "Hey, Arie." Gabriel's kind voice snapped my attention out of my book. "I brought a book I thought would help you."    He pushed a thick moss-green book with a gold binding towards me. Gabriel always impressed me with his seeing abilities. Most wolf seers weren't this great.

Ch. 17 Nova
Nova's P.O.V. "Thanks for practicing with me." Cal smirked at me, making butterflies fly around in my stomach.  "Anytime." I smiled back, pushing my hair behind my ear. "Sorry we couldn't practice more."  Half way through, or really like a quarter of the way in, I had to switch with Elezen. She couldn't handle Auggie's fire, and the boys refused to even think of being each other's partners. Elezen didn't seem to have any quarrels about the switch either. She seemed exhausted, after trying to control Auggie's flames. It wasn't exactly easy for me to do, but I was starting to get the hang of it now. By the end of the hour, his flames felt like an old friend.  "It's fine, maybe next time it can be just us?" Cal winked at me,

Ch. 18 Jesse
Jesse's P.O.V. The incessant buzzing of my alarm, woke me in a sour mood. Damon had told me that he would be letting everyone know that we were dating now. There would be no more secret relationship, although after what he pulled yesterday, if it were up to me, there would be no us, secret or otherwise. Damn that video. Damn my perverted body, and poor decision making skills.  I groaned as I got off the bed, letting my arms lazily hang around me. I dragged my feet to my closet, grabbing a clean uniform. I hate these things so much. I tried wearing the boys uniform once and got in a lot of trouble. I thought it was ridiculous, but dad wasn't pleased. So here I am, wearing someone's wet fantasy. Honestly I think Damon loves it, which now makes it a million times worse now..  I hate hi

Ch. 19 Ares
Ares' P.O.V.  I went to the training grounds, knowing that Jesse would be there from the vision I had yesterday. I plan to let it play out and interfere only if I have to. I want to know what's going on, but I'll follow my dad's advice. I will wait for Jesse to tell me what's wrong. I just hope it's soon, because the worry is really eating away at me.  Between Jesse's problem, and finding out I'm in love with Nova, who's in love with my brother, I'm feeling like a complete mess. My mind and heart can't take anything else at the moment. Including my dad's letters. Yesterday's letter tore my heart down the middle. On the one hand, I loved hearing from him in a way. On the other hand, it only made me miss him more.  My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm curious what my

Ch. 20 Nova
Nova's P.O.V. "You seem like you're in a good mood." Manny smiled at me as we walked past the waterfall that cascades down the front of the building.  "I guess." I shrugged my shoulders.  I was honestly feeling guilty for sitting with those as.sholes yesterday. I hated to think of them making fun of Arie and Auggie behind their backs. I've come to realize what a big target they have on their back in the shadow colony. I hadn't realized growing up, but shadow weavers are extremely driven by who's the strongest. I feel like it's worse than the wolves with their alphas.  "You're usually more affectionate when you're in a good mood or when you feel bad. Seeing as you're not actually in a good mood, what are you feeling bad for
