Sam's POV:

I was at the office looking out eagerly as I would normally, waiting for Anna. She had called me yesterday to inform me that she would be making it early today so I had to be ready for her.

It was a beautiful day when I woke up with a little bit of tiredness. I woke up trying to shake off the haze of tiredness in my eyes but my eyes felt heavy and ready to go back to sleep anytime soon. I run my hands through my disorganized hair and scratch it.

As I stood up, I staggered to the bathroom, my eyes fixed on the mirror. The reflection looking back at me was pale and looked sick but I ignored it.

I knew I needed to go to work to see Anna for the signing of the contract we had discussed. When I came out of the bedroom, Sally had already made breakfast for me, bread, eggs and coffee.

She had been waiting for me and I knew exactly what she wanted to say. I had hoped she wouldn't bring up the topic but no one was as adamant and stubborn as Sally.
