Influence and Power 

Anna's POV

It was quite unusual but I was not bothered at all. I believed that Smith would have a solution here. I looked at the cop in question.

“Let me see the…” Smith was about saying before another cop came around to disrupt the situation.

“Leave!” The new cop told the old cop. Now, he turned to Smith. “I am sorry for the inconveniences. This cop is quite new and he does not know etiquette. The person which you ask for is still here. Please follow me to my office and let's have a talk. You will see her later.”

I took a deep breath. The situation was really suspicious but I did not mind. Smith winked at me and both of us followed the cop. He seemed to be the one with the highest rank in the station. The cop took us to his office and made us comfortable. He actually offered us a drink but we declined.

I never knew people were offered drinks in a police station. This was the first time I was witnessing something like that. I was not bothered nor was I relieved.
