Anna’s POV

I thought I woke up first but I didn’t. Smith was already beside me and he seemed ready for our conversation. He had already sat up but his eyes were closed. He looked like he was meditating. I watched him and sat up as well. I yawned.

“You are up already,” he told me shortly with a smile on his face.

“I am,” I replied. “It is rare to see you up so early. I used to be the one to wake you up, remember?”

“I do…” he replied. “I have been awake for about three hours. I was bothered about you and about…”

“Emily!” I completed.
