Anna’s POV

“You have got a despicable talent for ruining good moods, you know,” Smith told Sam. That was needed. He took it right from my heart. I wondered why someone would be so inconsiderate.

“How many of your happy moods have I ruined, young master?” Sam asked neutrally like it never mattered.

“I won’t be the one counting that. You had better let young couples do their thing so you can stop being a bachelor at fifty-eight…” Smith told him jokingly. I laughed at this but I had gotten what I wanted before. I had found out Sam’s real age.

“But why ain’t you married?” I asked him carefully. “You are good-looking, quite rich, cute, smart, and SHORT!”

Sam looked at me and sighed. He must have been amazed at how I just played him.

“I was already impressed with myself but you chose to destroy it, huh! What have I done to you to deserve this?” Sam asked while smiling. He had a charming smile.

“We might have to change our butler, Smith…” I winked at him.
