Forty-Four

It was dinnertime. Both Maya and Olivia kept Asher well entertained during dinner with amusing anecdotes. Maya mostly took the lead, after all, she had more anecdotes up her sleeve seeing as she had more exposure.

"So I brought Scrabble with me earlier," Asher revealed after the omegas had come to clear up the dishes. "Anyone want to play?"

Maya glanced at Olivia, unsure about what to say. This would affect their secret plans.

"You're my first choice, Olivia, I mean with all that literary knowledge, I bet your proficiency with vocabulary is off the charts," Asher said knowingly.

"Well, you're right," Olivia said with a smile. "And ordinarily I love an intellectual show off but tonight, I've got a raging headache."

"Oh well, too bad. I guess I'll have to make do with Maya then," He turned to her. "What say you?"

Maya burst out laughing. "You once referred to me as a klutz with a credit card. All I do is shop and club, remember?"
