Chapter 7

Ivy had strategically been avoiding the 'R' family. Raymond and Rafe. Whoever it was, she would avoid them. Work made it easier for her. She would go out early and come back late. Perfect plan. It was really going well, atleast, until that rainy morning.

Ivy stood in the rain, her umbrella useless against the relentless downpour. She was already running late for work, and to make matters worse, her usual taxi driver had failed to show up. She was stranded outside her door, with no way of getting to the office in time for her deadline.

Just as she was about to give up, a car pulled up beside her. Through the blur of the rain, she recognized the driver, and her heart sank. It was Rafe, the same man she had been avoiding since their awkward encounter the other night. He had offered to help her then, but she had refused and the moment had been filled with embarrassment.
