I sat at the empty dining table, moving food around the plate as my appetite has been a little low.

The image of Elijah's scars have been popping in my head ever since I saw them about a week ago.

The pattern and the map the scars created were engraved in my head.

In the last week, I've had close to zero interactions with Elijah and Cane, and even Dalinda.

I wasn't too sad about not being in the same room as the two men or in the same bed as Elijah. After that one night I definitely felt his arm around me, Elijah hasn't come to bed. And I have to say, I was enjoying a few hours of comfortable sleep.

But not having Dalinda around reminded me how lonely I was.

The old woman was a very great companion. I loved hearing her talk about the times of her youth.

But lately, I've been seeing her for maybe a few minutes before she would suddenly disappear.
