Grandpa left me alone with Luc.

I couldn't believe it, honestly, I didn't know how to feel about everything that was happening to me.

"Here's black tea, it's one of the few things I get right," Luc offered, snatching me out of my musings and blushing returned to my face.

"Thank you for everything, you didn't have to..."

"Don't say that," he cut me off quickly, "it was the least I could do under the circumstances, I was your companion and something happened to you because I left you alone for a few moments.”

"I would never leave without warning or do anything to put myself in such a bad situation as being exposed to danger," I admitted with tears in my eyes.

"I believe you, Emma, I know something else happened," she added, her lips pursed.

"I think so too, but I have a bad feeling, and I know that the moment my parents find out everything will blow up in my face..."

"Do you have a bad relationship with them?"
